✅ Stats before the game: This will be the first meeting between Italy and Albania in a major competition. The Azzurri have won all four previous matches (friendly and qualifiers) against the Eagles (seven goals scored and one conceded in the partial), all played from 2014 onwards. This will be Italy’s 11th participation in the UEFA European Championships: only Germany and Spain have won the tournament more times than the Azzurri (twice, in 1968 and 2020). Italy could become the second team to win two consecutive UEFA European Championships after Spain (2008 and 2012). Italy has never conceded more than one goal in the last two editions of the UEFA European Championships (2016 and 2020): only six goals were conceded by the Azzurri in the period.
