adidas and the FIGC reveal a giant Azzurri shirt in the heart of Rome

On the eve of Italy’s second match at UEFA EURO 2024, adidas and the FIGC displayed a huge Italian National Team shirt in the heart of Rome, thus expressing their support for Luciano Spalletti’s team, who will face Spain tomorrow night.

The place chosen to reveal the jersey, which is over 15 metres in length, wasn’t random. Indeed, the shirt was displayed at Piazza di Spagna on the steps leading up to the iconic Church of Santissima Trinità dei Monti.

The Azzurri jersey, a symbol of Italy in Europe and throughout the world, was thus exhibited at one of the most iconic locations in the capital. This initiative, which comes after Corso Sempione was lit up with the message ‘Forza Azzurri’ in Milan, once again testifies to the value of the partnership between adidas and the FIGC. The aim is to bring together all fans of the National Team, from North to South. The event took place in the presence of FIGC General Secretary Marco Brunelli, who thanked Roma Capitale and the Councillor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion, Alessandro Onorato, as well as all the entities and institutions involved in the authorisation process for the initiative.

Following the event, as a symbol and source of inspiration for youngsters who are part of the ‘Calciosociale project, the giant jersey was handed over to the socially engaged Miracoli FC Football School, an act that also testifies to the value of unity that the Azzurri shirt represents.
