✅  Stats before the game: Albania have conceded at least two goals in each of their nine meetings with Spain in all competitions. The 9-0 defeat in the European Championship qualifiers in December 1990 remains the largest ever for the Albanian national team in an official match. Albania have scored the first goal in each of their two EURO 2024 matches, although they have yet to find success (D1, L1). No nation has ever scored the first goal in three consecutive European Championship matches without managing to win any of them.
Spain could win the first three matches of a European Championship for the second time in the competition, having done so in 2008 – an edition which they then won (1-0 against Germany in the final). Albania have conceded two goals in each of their last two matches, both at EURO 2024 (1-2 v Italy, 2-2 v Croatia), after having conceded two or more goals only once in their previous 14 matches in all competitions. The Albanians have not conceded at least two goals in three consecutive matches since a series of five between October 2016 and June 2017. In the last match against Italy, Spain gained possession of the ball in the final third of the field on 10 occasions: it is the highest figure for the Spaniards in a European Championship match since the 2008 quarter-finals, again against the Azzurri (13).
