Mission accomplished for AC Milan winning their 4th consecutive ame. Catania failing their battle for salvation.  Not a good debut of Catania coach Maurizio Pellegrino who replaced sacked coach Rolando Maran.   This home victory giving Milan hope  to climb the Serie A Table from the 11th to the 8th position towards the European Zone being now at -3 points from the 6th position hold by Parma with 51 points.  Catania, mathematically speaking, still have chances for salvation, but what we have seen this season the future seems in relegation.

AC Milan starting the party in San Siro to the delight of the fans in the 23rd minute.  It is an assist by forward Mario Balotelli to midfielder Riccardo Montolivo.  Yep, Montolivo defeating Catania goalkeeper Mariano Andujar with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.

Here is AC MILAN official starting lineup by coach Clarence Seedorf:

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Abbiati; Bonera, Rami, Mexes, Constant; Montolivo, de Jong; Poli, Kaká, Taarabt; Balotelli.

"Time is something that I’ve been asking for from the start and now the results are proving us right" AC Milan Coach Clarence Seedorf

Here are the declarations of AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf after defeating Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium on Monday 7 April 2014 for the Serie A Week 32.

"It was a tough match and all teams struggle here, including Juventus. It’s what I was expecting. We did well to take the lead early on, they pushed hard but we defended well. Time is something that I’ve been asking for from the start and now the results are proving us right. Honda is growing by the game. It was tough today as the opponent was aggressive but he played very well and the goal came at the right moment. He was our extra man tonight, all credit to him. It’s always satisfying to score in Serie A. When the results don’t come, ti’s normal to have to work harder. We’re on the right road and the players are following. I’m happy to see the improvements and the increase in self-confidence. I’m happy for the players as the results are thanks to them”.

Genoa failing big time to win this home game because they have won only 1 game in the last 10 games against AC Milan back in May 2010 with a 1-0.    The ex AC Milan player forward Alberto Gilardino looking to upset his ex team at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.  Yet, it was a magic game for AC Milan midfielder Adel Taarabt not only scoring a goal, but also providing the assist for the goal by midfielder Keisuke Honda.  It's the third consecutive win for Milan gaining momentum.  Honda scoring his first goal in Serie A. Curiously, Honda  has opened his Serie A goal account in the same stadium where the first ever Japanese player in Serie A took his first steps in the Italian game. Kazioushi Miura played in Serie A in the 1994-95 season.

It is AC Milan to open the score in the 20th minute.  An assist by Kaka' to midfielder Adel Taarabt defeating Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perrin with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.  This is the 2nd goal this season for Taarabt.

AC Milan increasing the score in the 56th minute silencing the Ferraris Stadium.  It is midfielder Keisuke Honda to score with a left footed shot defeating goalkeeper Perrin  in the bottom right corner.  The assist is by Taarabt, certainly, a good match for him.

Genoa shortening the distance in the 73rd minute with midfielder Marco Motta defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati with a right footed shot in the top right corner.  The assist by Ioannis Fetfatzidis.  The goal arriving following a corner conceded by  AC Milan defender Daniele Bonera.  Great moment for Honda scoring his first goal in Serie A with the rossoneri.

Here is GENOA official starting lineup by coach Gian Piero Gasperini:

Genoa: Perin, De Maio, Burdisso, Sculli, Gilardino, Antonelli, Marchese, Fetfatzidis, Motta, Sturaro, Bertolacci.

Here is AC MILAN official starting lineup by coach Clarence Seedorf:

AC MILAN AND GATORADE: THE PHOTOS

MILAN - The photos from club sponsor's Gatorade event last night in the city.

AC MILAN AND THE MIDDLE EAST

MILAN – Abu Dhabi and Dubai will be two of the keys destinations as club CEO and Vice President Barbara Berlusconi travels to the Arab Emirates where, as announced during the casa Milan official presentation, she’ll be looking into the possibility of partnership and commercial developments for the black and red of AC Milan. The delegation will also include the club’s commercial director Jaap Kalma as well as head of sales and sponsors Mauro Tavola. The group will arrive in Abu Dhabi on Monday for scheduled meetings with political personalities as well as local entrepreneurs. Barbara Berlusconi and the team have also scheduled a visit to Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and on Tuesday will be in Dubai to meet representatives from Fly Emirates to discuss the renewal of the sponsorship contract which expires in 2015. The topic of a possible new stadium could also be on the table. The group will also meet business leaders possibly interested in replicating the Casa Milan idea in their areas.

    GATORADE AND AC MILAN

MILAN – Yesterday evening in the Brera neighborhood of the city, Gatorade opened new venue in the city, a real sporting temple, with an atmosphere most people will only have witnessed as spectators. Adriano Galliani was present at the event: “We’re the only team that has always played in European competition since the turn of the century and regardless of what happens from here to the end of the season, we’ll still be much better off than many other Italian teams in that respect. We got six points from the last two matches but I wouldn’t want to make predictions. The team is doing well and I can see big improvements which I hope will turn into results. It all depends on us. If we’re in form everything becomes possible, if not, everything becomes difficult”. “I don’t think there’s anything to say about Kakà. His contract situation is known to everyone. My own relationship with Barbara Berlusconi has never been as good as it is at the moment. The new stadium comes under her area of competence and I am the one who’ll speak of the team. Balotelli has never been unhappy here at the club and it’s easy to forget all he did for us last season and to get into the Champions League. His numbers are great. He’s been here for 14 months now and we’re all very happy with what he’s doing. At the end of the season, we’ll speak about the situations regarding Rami and Taarabt. The numbers involved are already on the table”.

Mission accomplished for AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf.  Pressure was for Milan to win the home game to climb the Serie A Table hoping for a miracle to make it in the top 6.  Chievo succumbing to the  pressure to win the away game to avoid falling in the relegation zone.     Chievo have lost their last 4 away games without scoring.   It's a great victory for AC Milan considering their last 2 consecutive home defeats.  Stats remaining in favor of Milan because Chievo, previously defeating Milan twice, have never defeated Milan in San Siro.  Magic moment for AC Milan Kaka' celebrating his 300th game with Milan by scoring 2 goals and being also Captain today.

AC Milan opening the score following a corner conceded by Chievo Verona defender Alessandro Bernardini.  It is Milan defender Adil Rami to provide the assist to forward Mario Balotelli for the goal defeating goalkeeper Michael Agazzi in the high center.  This is the 13th goal this season for Balotelli.   It's an interesting goal for Balotelli because he had scored 3 goals against Chievo while playing for Inter, but this is his first goal against Chievo since playing for AC Milan.  I can visualize Crudelli shouting this goal with his "Balo, Balo, Telli, Telli....."

What a perfect way for Kaka' to celebrate his 300th game in Serie A as an AC Milan player!  Yep, Kaka scoring in the 27th minute.  A cross by midfielder Keisuke Honda to Kaka' making time to accommodate the ball with the chest to defeat with a right footed shot goalkeeper Agazzi from close range in the bottom right corner.  This is the 6th goal for Kaka' this season, curiously Kaka' scoring 5 of these goals in San Siro!  Surely, you bet, the fans chanting "Siam venuti fin qua' per vedere segnare Kaka' oh oh oh"

Kaka' celebrating after his goal against Chievo Verona

Milan closer to the third goal in the 38th minute with midfielder Honda missing the target after the assist by Balotelli.  Honda deliverin his left footed shot way to high!!!

Ooops.. problem for AC Milan seeing midfielder Sulley Muntari injured making the first forced substitution in the 44th minute.  Muntari is replaced by midfielder Michael Essien.

First half ending 53% ball possession AC Milan and 47% ball possession Chievo Verona

There you go, time for the fans to chant again in San Siro "Siam venuti fin qua per vedere segnare Kaka......."  It's a magic game for Kaka' scoring another goal in the 54th minute  after the assist by defender Urby Emanuelson.  Nothing to do for goalkeeper Agazzi, but defeated by Kaka' with a right footed shot in the top right corner.  It's the 7th goal for Kaka this season.  It is also the 11th brace for Kaka in Serie A... way to go.

The joy of Kaka' after his second goal against Chievo.

In the 60th minute, Milan replacing midfielder Andrea Poli with midfielder Nigel de Jong.

Chievo making a substitution in the 63rd minute replacing forward Cyril Thereau with forward Victor Obinna.

Emanuelson missing target in the 70th minute after his left footed shot goes high to the left.

AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf  making the last substitution of the match replacing Kaka' in the 74th minute with forward Robinho.  The fans embracing beloved Kaka' while he thanks them back on his way out of the pitch.

Chievo replacing midfielder Perparim Hetemaj with midfielder Tiberio Guarente in the 77th minute.

In the 91st minute Referee Giacomelli granting a penalty to Chievo conceded by Milan defender Cristian Zaccardo after a foul on forward Cyril Thereau.   Now, the U N T H I N K A B L E!!!!!  Thereau failing to convert this penalty because his right footed shot hits the bar!!!!!!

Nothing to do, but stats remaining in favor of AC Milan and a disappointed Chievo unable to score, at least, the honor goal.

Game ending 56% ball possession AC Milan and 44% ball possession Chievo.

We’re all convinced that the kids who take part in these camps will benefit not only from a sporting point of view but that it’ll also be an experience that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. To all the kids, I say try your hardest. Fiorentina suffering a blow at the Artemio Franchi Stadium failing  to win the home game to climb towards the 3rd situation while AC Milan experiencing a revival.  It's an interesting game seeing two ex captains battling against each other.  Ex Fiorentina captain Riccardo Montolivo now leading AC Milan while the ex AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini is playing for Fiorentina.   The race for the 3rd position between Fiorentina and Napoli remain with an advantage of +10 points in favor of Napoli with 61 points.

It is AC Milan to open the score in the 22nd minute with defender Philippe Mexes defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto with a headed shot in the bottom left corner.  You bet this is a goal serving as a "medicine" for this limping Milan in desperate need to collect points.  The first attempt was by forward Mario Balotelli from a free kick with a right footed shot though goalkeeper Neto saved, but the ball remaining in the area and there is when Mexes make his way for the final headed shot.

Second goal of the match in the 64th minute with a brilliant free kick goal by forward Mario Balotelli sending shivers emotions to Fiorentina fans after defeating goalkeeper Neto with right footed shot in the top right corner.  This is the 12th goal this season for Balotelli.

It's a black crisis, a turmoil, a disaster season for AC Milan falling from grace.  There are only 10 more games to play.  Milan not only eliminated from the Champions League, but not even able to redeem themselves and instead of defeating Parma at the San Siro Stadium, BAM!  A slap with 4 goals!

AC Milan won't be in the Champions League next season, not even Europa League..... this defeat brings down Milan from the 10th to the 11th position while Parma are rocking big time towards a spot in Europa League.

AC Milan starting with the wrong foot.  Imagine, in the 5th minute, Referee Domenico Celi grants a penalty to Parma conceded by Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati for a foul on Parma forward Ezequiel Schelotto.   Problems starting for Milan  coach Clarence Seedorf not having enough time to see second goalkeeper Marco Amelia warm up and readjust his lineup.  The sacrificed was midfielder Michael Essien to make space for Amelia.  Taking the penalty spot is the "ex" Antonio Cassano and you bet he must had pray to convert it, and yes, he did!  Cassano defeating goalkeeper Amelia with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner in the 9th minute.

Milan equalizing in the 56th minute following a corner with assist by Kaka to midfielder Adil Rami for the headed goal  in the bottom right corner.

Milan shortening the distance in the 76th minute when Referee Celi granting a penalty conceded by Parma midfielder Joel Obi for a foul on Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo.  Taking the penalty spot is forward Mario Balotelli defeating Parma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner.

Also, a memorable moment for forward Amauri with a brilliant right footed goal in the 78th minute with assist by Schelotto. Parma again taking the lead.

Adding more pain to the injury, Jonathan Biabiany scoring the 4th goal in the 95th minute!  Biabiany defeating goalkeeper Amelia with a headed shot to the center.... by now, a black curtain falling in San Siro.  Simply put, only praises for Parma and whistles for Milan....

What else to say for this chaotic Milan?  Do I blame Seedorf? Not at all, this "poor" Milan is a result of former coach Massimiliano Allegri and cannot even understand how in the world Allegri thought midfielder Andrea Pirlo was not good for Milan.... mamma mia!!!

Definitely, it was the time for redemption for the ex AC Milan player forward Antonio Cassano.  Yep, Cassano slapping his ex team scoring 2 goals!  A joyous moment for him, and for Coach Roberto Donadoni.

Here is AC MILAN official starting lineup by coach Clarence Seedorf:

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Abbiati; Abate, Mexes, Bonera, Emanuelson; Essien, De Jong; Poli, Montolivo, Kakà; Balotelli.

    AC MILAN MIDFIELDER ANDREA POLI

"It’s a shame as we conceded immediately once the game started. We’re were playing well at 1-1 and then there was that own goal. It’s a bad day for all of us. After 2-1 they overcame us, especially in the second half. When you lose 4-1, you can’t talk about good individual performances. We were in trouble for a lot of the game. I want to start again from that 20-30 minutes in the first half when we were at 1-1. We’ll get back on our feet, starting from tomorrow and analyze the positives and the negatives from the match. Now we have 11 games left and we want to win them all to end the season in the best way possible. This was a good chance here this evening but we didn’t take it. Now we have to get back on our feet as soon as we can. The start of the match was bad and we can’t deny that. After we got to 1-1, it was more balanced and then we let in an unlucky goal that cut us off at the legs a bit. We have to start back from those 20-30 minutes when we were playing at their level”.

"It’s disappointing to go out of the Champions League like this," AC Milan Goalkeeper Christian Abbiati

    AC Milan Goalkeeper CHRISTIAN ABBIATI

"It was a particular game and we’ve taken steps back with respect to recent performances. We didn’t play well in Udine and tonight we definitely too another step back. We knew it wouldn’t be easy and after Ricardo got the equalizer, we crushed them. It was a shame about their second goal as the deviation put it right in the corner. It’s disappointing to go out of the Champions League like this and we have to recharge our batteries as on Sunday we’ll be up against a team that’s playing well. Now it’s very important to focus on the league as we have 11 games ahead of us. From here to the end of the season, all us players will be under examination. All of us have to show that we’re able to wear this jersey”.

"They played better, all credit to them," AC Milan Coach Clarence Seedorf after losing to Atletico Madrid

It's a nightmare and crude reality for AC Milan after elimination of the UEFA Champions League.  Here are the declarations of AC Milan Coach Clarence Seedorf after losing the Champions League Round of 16 Second Leg against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday 11 March 2014 at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid, Spain: Atletico Madrid 4 - 1 AC Milan

    AC Milan Coach CLARENCE SEEDORF
“We’ve played some big games in the last few weeks and we’ve nothing to show for it. That kills the ability to react. There was no grit in the second half. Our fans have definitely suffered for too long but I’m sure they have black and red hearts and when someone falls, they have to get back up. The players are working with commitment and they’re trying to get out of this situation. From my part, from tomorrow, I’ll be working with strength and enthusiasm to get their spirits back up as Parma will be the first of 11 games from here to the end of the league and we’ll have to do well to end the season the best we can. It’s over now and we have to react. We have to look to the match against Parma and find the strength to get back on our feet as life teaches us. I believe that we tried to get the best out of ourselves in this match. We played a great game against Atletico in the first leg and we knew it would be difficult to come here but we had to play it. Now we have to play as well as we can for the remaining 11 matches in the league and then start thinking about next season. All players will be important from here to the end. We need courage, strength to fight and we have to stick together to the end”.

"In the second half they created a lot and we didn’t react. They played better, all credit to them and the best of luck for the rest of the competition.

I didn’t see any problems between Balotelli and Pazzini, I was focused on other aspects of the match. We have 11 matches left to play in the league and Balotelli remains fundamental for us. When you win, you win together and it’s the same when you lose. It0s not anyone one single player’s fault.

Even if a single player doesn’t have the best evening of his life, that doesn’t mean the team can’t do well all the same. This evening, that’s the way it went. In the second half in particular, we struggled a lot. The second goal killed our ability to react. We fought, we tried but we couldn’t do it. We played some good matches this month, but continually chasing the game, we ran out of energy. Then we conceded one of those goals. Now we have to try and pull the best out of ourselves. At this moment, the players couldn’t give any more than they did, both physically and mentally.

I’m used to getting back up when I fall. We lost a game against a big team that deserved to win. From tomorrow though, myself and the players will be right back to work trying to do better and to grow”.

It's a crucial game.  AC Milan failing the challenge, the great mission to defeat Atletico de Madrid to qualify for the Champions League Quarterfinals and now are eliminated.  A sold out at the Vicente Calderon Stadium reporting about 53,000 attendance.  It was an uphill battle because Milan lost the Round of 16 First Leg in San Siro:   AC Milan 0 - 1 Atletico de Madrid, Wednesday 19 February 2014.  Simply put, Atletico Madrid writing history and scoring an aggregate result of 5-1.

    Action  during the game.......

No way!  I am just fainting... This is not possible.  Atletico de Madrid opening the score in the 3rd minute!!!!  A nightmare!!!  An assist by midfielder Koke to forward Diego Costa defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati with a left footed shot in the bottom left corner.  Mamma mia!  Abbiati cannot believe it and just look at the ball to send it back.  Costa running to celebrate while players hugging each other and I am just crying!  Forza Milan, come on!

Referee Mark Clattenburg gives the first yellow card of the match in the 4th minute to Atletico de Madrid forward Raul Garcia for a foul on AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli.

In the 7th minute a yellow card to AC Milan defender Adil Rami for a foul on Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa.

YES!!!!  Siam venuti fin qua per vedere segnare Kaka' ohhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!  Guys, Kaka' equalizing the score  in the 27th minute!!!  The action started by AC Milan midfielder Andrea Poli from the right to send the assist.... Kaka' running so fast to reach the ball while Atletico Madrid defender Francisco attempts to clear. Yet, nothing to do as Kaka' running faster and there you go the headed goal defeating Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.  Kaka' almost falling, but immediately lifting his eyes to the sky to thank the Lord!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO Not again!  Come on!!!!  A right footed goal by midfielder Arda Turan in the 40th minute defeating goalkeeper Abbiati in the bottom right corner!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The assist by Raul Garcia...

Hello!!!  In the 44th minute, Arda almost scoring!! An assist by Koke to Turan smacking a left footed shot this time saved by Abbiati in the center!

First half ending 44% ball possession Atletico de Madrid and 56% ball possession AC Milan

Second half starting with AC Milan making the first substitution in the 45th minute.
Forward Robinho replacing midfielder  Adel Taarabt.  Clearly, Seedorf wanting to reinforce the attack.. let's hope for the goals to come!

Time running by.... only 30 more minutes!

In the 63rd minute,  Abbiati saving the headed shot by Mirande in the center!....  Milan cannot allow more goals!

AC Milan making a substitution in the 69th minute.  Forward Giampaolo Pazzini replacing midfielder Michael Essien.

No wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! Chaos!!!!!!  Atletico Madrid scoring in the 71st minute with Raul Garcia jumping high enough for the headed goal despite the stretch by goalkeeper Abbiati in the bottom left corner.  The long right footed assist made by Koke ....  what a night!

Atletico Madrid making a substitution in the 72nd minute replacing forward Raul Garcia with midfielder Jose Sosa.  Garcia leaving the pitch among the applause of the fans.....

Say no more!!!  AC Milan are just eliminated .... Atletico de Madrid scoring the 4th goal of the match in the 85th minute with Diego Costa being the verdugo for the Rossoneri.  Curtain call..... a sad day for AC Milan and Italian football fans.....

Here are the declarations of AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf during the press conference ahead of the Champions League Round of 16, Second Leg, game against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday 11 March 2014 at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid, Spain at 20:45.

AC Milan will have to play hard to win the game to overcome the 0-1 in the First Leg: AC Milan 0 - 1 Atletico de Madrid, Wednesday 19 February 2014

    COACH CLARENCE SEEDORF

The first questions were about the match with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday: "I’ve often been in a situation in which we’re not the favourites, even in years in which we achieved important things. The favourite was and is Atletico Madrid. I think the two sides will play in a similar manner to the first-leg. They have a narrow advantage, the game is open and I’m expecting changes with regards to the first-leg. Atletico Madrid are a team in the true sense of the word. They know what they want and they have quality. They may not have great champions, but they have two or three world-class players and a good level throughout the side. This makes the difference out on the pitch. Atletico have been playing well for years. They know each other well and we respect their strong points. We want to limit them to give us opportunities.”

Can history play a part in the match? This is what Seedorf had to say: "Every match has its own history. In the Champions League there is a lot of history and it’s very different to the other competitions. We’re ready for a tough battle. We respect our opponents and we’re ready to take to the pitch. I see good signs from my team, they’re motivated and happy to play in these type of matches. When you lose a league game like we did, the chance to play soon after in the Champions League takes away pressure and provides you with a chance to write history. This club has an important history and we’ll try and honour that. They are good memories those from Munich. Milan’s history speaks for itself, the players are aware of this. In Italy and in Europe. History teaches us many things. In 2007 in a difficult time we found the energy from nowhere with some important performances. I’ve got this in mind and I have to be confident, brave and optimistic. I need to pass on the idea of battling as a group. We have to play with heart. Aspects which are more important than the technical and tactical side of the game. The rest comes as a consequence.”

The team has to give a top performance tomorrow to qualify for the quarter-finals:  "Tomorrow we have to score the necessary goals to qualify. It’s 11 v 11. We’ll see who ends up as winners. The first match gave us an idea about our chances. We know it’s difficult, but we have to go beyond our limits.”

The refereeing standards and what is allowed in the Champions League is different to the Italian Serie A: "I don’t know what to expect in terms of aggressiveness. It depends on the referee’s judgement. I hope I don’t see some of the things that I saw in the Madrid derby 2 weeks ago. Football in general is better than what I saw in that match.”

An attacking Milan side tomorrow? Coach Seedorf calls for calm: "You need to have balance in these occasions. Clearly we’ll play differently compared to the start of the championship. It’s difficult to score a goal and then close up and hold on for a win at this level. Tomorrow certainly won’t be like this.”

There was a thought towards the future: "First of all Milan share my project. I’m trying to take it forward on a technical level, with enthusiasm and towards a brilliant future. This doesn’t depend on this match that comes at a difficult time. We have to go through it all with serenity. There will be many new experiences for me tomorrow. I want to build with the squad the basis for the future. Tomorrow is an important opportunity. There could be incidents along the way, but the squad is determined and they’ve reacted thanks to the Champions League. It’s a special moment.”

Focus on the individuals of Diego Costa, David Villa and Balotelli: "I believe that Diego Costa is an important player, just like Balotelli, but so are the other players. It’s clear that he’s a fantastic player, but the group plays well as a whole and they’re all to be kept an eye on. Villa is now available and we’ll have to be aware of his threat.”

Seedorf also spoke about Poli and Kakà: “Poli is fine. In terms of tactics, we’ve already played offensively with him on the pitch. We’ll play in a similar manner, with lots of respect for Atletico Madrid’s strong points and taking advantage of our potential. There are 90 minutes to score a goal and maybe even two. Kakà brings with him experience and he’s a part of Champions League history but I haven’t got different expectations from him compared to the other players. Anyone can make the difference. He doesn’t have to have this responsibility on his shoulders. He’s always had the support of the team and for this reason he’s been decisive.”

AC Milan failing to defeat the "Giants" in San Siro. Yep.  Milan again losing against Jvuentus proving to be a mission impossible. Juventus rocking big time in Serie A having a wide advantage of +34 points over Milan.  On top of that, Milan not having an ideal season while Juventus are on a "solo flight" to collect the third Scudetto unless Roma speed up the race.  Juventus reaching now 69 points.   AC Milan went down from the 9th to the 10th position.

Juventus testing AC Milan in the 16th minute with forward Carlos Tevez delivering a left footed shot finding goalkeeper Christian Abbiati alert and saving in the center!  The headed assist by forward Fernando Llorente.

A great save by goalkeeper Abbiati in the 19th minute.  Juventus seeming determined to show a lesson to the Rossoneri.  It is again an assist by Llorente this time to defender Stephan Lichtsteiner delivering a right footed shot saved by Abbiati in the bottom right corner.

Wow, what a double save!!!  AC Milan closer to the goal with a spectacular Kaka' challenging Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon who saves with his right footed shot.  Yet, the ball continuing in the area and it is miraculously saved by defender Leonardo Bonucci also with his foot conceding the corner.   Milan fans cannot believe it!!!  This would be one of the best moves. Great combo between Kaka' and Adel Taarabt who gave him the assist.

In the 40th minute the assist by AC Milan defender Ignazio Abate to forward Giampaolo Pazzini.  Buffon saving the left footed shot in the center!

And another incredible save by Juventus!  In the 42nd minute  Buffon saving by punching the ball away, still in the area Kaka' attemps to score but the ball goes too high!!!!!

And there you seeee GOOOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.... It is Juventus to open the score in the 44th minute in an action started by forward Carlos Tevez passing to Lichtsteiner who passes to forward Fernando Llorente defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Abbiati with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.  Nothing to do for Milan defender Abate who attempted to clear.  Immediate celebration by Juventus coach Antonio Conte raising his hands.   This is the 11th goal this season for Llorente.

First half ending 58% ball possession AC Miland 42% ball possession Juventus

Nothing to do for Milan attempting to score....

AC Milan with a forced substitution in the 53rd minute as midfielder Andrea Poli cannot continue and is replaced by forward Riccardo Saponara.

Juventus scoring a powerful mega goal by forward Carlos Tevez!  A magnificent right footed shot from a distance hitting the bar and then going inside the net!  Spectacular goal while he runs to celebrate.  The assist made by the ex Milan player Andrea Pirlo. This is the 15th goal for Tevez this season seeing him now as the sole leader of top scorer in Serie A followed by Fiorentina forward Giuseppe Rossi with 14 goals.

Juventus more than motivated to arrive in San Siro to defeat AC Milan.  Juventus returning from Turkey after defeating Trabzonspor for the Europa League Round of 16 Second Leg and qualifying to the Round of 16.   Juventus firmly believing in defeating once again AC Milan as they did on Week 7, Juventus 3 - 2 AC Milan  on Sunday 6 October 2013.  Surely, Juventus having a wide advantage over AC Milan.  The gap is a huge 31 points ahead of AC Milan.... simple as that..... now, will AC Milan show a lesson to the big guys this season?......  That's the question...

Great victory for AC Milan for the morale of the team.  AC Milan winning the away game against Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium after losing in San Siro the Champions League game against Atletico Madrid.  It's a victory helping the rossoneri to climb the Serie A and somehow believe in the mirage of making it to the top 5 positions.   The Serie A Week 6 ended with AC Milan 1 - 0 Sampdoria.  Today, AC Milan scoring two goals by Adel Taarabt and Adil Rami to claim the full 3 points.  It's a painful defeat for Sampdoria as this is the first home lost since November 2 going now down from the 12 to the 13th position.

Sampdoria remaining with 10 players after Referee Doveri sent off forward Maxi Lopez in the 72nd minute for 2 yellow cards.  Imagine, Lopez had came as a substitute in the 56th minute replacing midfielder Pedro Obiang.

Great job by AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia who was in the lineup without conceding goals.  Amelia took the lead as first goalkeeper Christian Abbiati was injured.

AC Milan opening the score in the 12th minute with midfielder Adel Taarabt defeating Sampdoria goalkeeper Junior Costa with a left footed shot in the bottom left corner.  Total joy for Taarabt celebrating towards the bench with his teammates.

Second goal in the 58th minute following a corner conceded by Sampdoria defender Vasco Regini. First attempt to the goal by forward Giampaolo Pazzini with a headed shot saved in the center.  Yet, the action continuing seeing defender Adil Rami defeating Sampdoria goalkeeper Costa with a headed shot in the bottom left corner.

Motivation now high for AC Milan to face Juventus in San Siro for Serie A Week 26 while Sampdoria will try to redeem themselves at the Olimpico Stadium facing Torino.

It was a special game for AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf who played for Sampdoria for one year making 32 appearances while scoring 3 goals.  An emotional embrace from the fans to the ex Sampdoria players forward Giampaolo Pazzini and midfielder Andrea Poli.  Not a good game to remember for the ex AC Milan player forward Maxi Lopez playing only 17 minutes before getting a red card.

Here is SAMPDORIA official starting lineup by coach Sinisa Mihajlovic:
