Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:

Napoli, 1st position with 6 points and a positive goal difference of +5
Atalanta, 9th position with 3 points and a positive goal difference of +1

Mission accomplished!    It's the big match for Napoli keeping the sole leadership by defeating Atalanta with the goals by Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Maria Callejon.  Napoli winning their three games and taking advantage of the Inter-Juventus draw to be sole leader.   Atalanta failing to cause an upset and climb the Serie A Standing, but going down.  This game is being watched worldwide having 35 broadcasters including Al Jazeera, the Canal plus for Spain,  Fox Sport for America, Guangdon TV will broadcast in China while Sky Perfect to Japan...... and the list goes on and on....  Surely, the focus in America, especially in Argentina, is to see Argentinian forward Gonzalo Higuain in action.

Special moment for the ex Napoli player forward German Denis now.

No doubt that Napoli coach Rafael Benitez is doing well and leading Napoli with the right foot..... three victories so far.  Napoli now can prepare their UEFA Champions League match next week against Borussia Dortmund.

Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain opening the score in the 71st minute with a right footed shot defeating Atalanta goalkeeper Andrea Consigli in the bottom right corner.   Higuain celebrating with teammates to the joy of the fans applauding him.

Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain and teammates celebrating after scoring.... an important victory.

Atalanta playing with 10 men since the 74th minute after Referee Rocchi gives the second yellow card to midfielder Luca Cigarini for the automatic red card.

Far from Atalanta reacting, it is Napoli to increase the score in the 81st minute with Jose Maria Callejon getting the assist by midfielder Blerim Dzemaili.   Callejon with a left footed shot defeating Atalanta goalkeeper  Consigli in the bottom left corner.   Total chaos for Atalanta and the party at the San Paolo is at its best peak.

Stats are in favor of Napoli.  There have been 49 games between Serie A, Serie B, and Coppa Italia with the statistics:

33 victories Napoli
11 draws
5  victoriesAtalanta
80 goals Napoli
29 goals Atalanta
