The Oscar del Calcio 2012 celebrated on Sunday 27 January 2013 by the Italian Footballers' Association (AIC) Awards at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, Italy. The Gran Gala del Calcio AIC awarding 2 special recognitions.
The two special recognitions to Inter Captain Javier Zanetti with a special "Loyalty and Critic's Choice price", Filippo Inzaghi "Career Award" and Juventus as Serie A TIM's club that most stood out last season. Juventus taking seven awards.
Juventus unbeaten run last season’s Scudetto success and August’s Super Cup victory placed them in pole position. Here are the 7 awards picked by Juventus
Best manager: Antonio Conte
Best goalkeeper: Gigi Buffon
Best defender: Andrea Barzagli
Best midfielder: Claudio Marchisio
Best midfielder: Andrea Pirlo
Best Italian player: Andrea Pirlo
Best team: Juventus
Winners are selected by a panel of Italian Footballers’ Association members from a list of nominees announced in December.
During
the evening were also awarded the "Prize for the top scorers AIC", the
second edition of the recognition that the Italian Footballers'
Association has established to reward every season, the best striker in
Serie A, B, Lega Pro and, this year, of the Women's football.
The "AIC Award" for the second edition went to Zlatan Ibrahimovic (28 goals with AC Milan), Ciro Immobile (28 goals with Pescara), Jordan Fioretti (33 goals with Gavorrano) and Patrizia Panico (29 goals with Torres).
The ideal hypothetical fantastic "team of the year" in a 4-3-3 composed by players, who are top rated in their roles for the 2011 - 2012 Season:
Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon,
Defenders: Christian Maggio, Federico Balzaretti, Thiago Silva, Andrea Barzagli,
Midfielders: Antonio Nocerino, Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio,
Forwards: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, Antonio Di Natale .
The winners of the event include Andrea Pirlo "Player of the Year," Antonio Conte "Coach of the Year", Nicola Rizzoli "Referee of the Year", Stephan El Shaarawy and Luis Muriel "Young Revelation," the trio Marco Verratti / Ciro Immobile / Lorenzo Insigne as "Best Young Serie B" and Melania Gabbiadini "Women's Player of the Year".
