A crazy game, unexpected... Although Lazio took the lead, they succumbed to Atletico de Madrid in the UEFA Europa League Round of 32, First Leg.
Here is the situation. Lazio will have to play the second leg in Madrid on Thursday 23 February and will have to score at 3 goals without conceded to qualify for the next round.
Lazio opening the score in the 19th minute with forward Miroslav Klose delivering a right footed shot defeating Atletico de Madrid goalkeeper. Here is the thing, whatever happened after to Lazio????
Atletico de Madrid reacting in the 25th minute by equalizing the score with Adrian shooting a right footed shot defeating Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti. The assist by Radamel Falcao Garci to Adrian sending cold drops of water.... Lazio could not react.... and the Olimpico silenced.
Falcao being the "verdugo" not only making assist, but also scoring in the 37th minute to put Atletico de Madrid ahead after the assist by Ribas da Cunha Diego. Lazio fans in disbelief..... and so do I.
In the 63rd minute, it is Falcao to smack a right footed shot defeating Marchetti in the lower left corner and by now, question marks for Lazio. Not the ideal outcome.
