UEFA Champions League Round of 16

AC Milan making a comeback in the second half to win the game with the winner goal by forward Stephan El Shaarawy in the 85th minute.  Although Udinese taking the lead in the 19th minute with a left footed shot from the center of the box defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia in the bottom left corner after the assist by Gelson Fernandes, it was not enough.  Di Natale scoring his 17th goal this season.  In the 77th minute AC Milan forward Maxi Lopez scoring his first goal for Milan equalizes the score with a right footed shot. Milan with a shiny result when EL Shaarawy gives them the victory.  Whatever happened to Udinese?

Here is the thing, after Lazio defeating Cesena, and losing today, Udinese went down to the fourth position with 41 points and a positive goal difference of  +12.   AC Milan, temporarily are now in the first position with 47 points and a positive goal difference of +25.  Juventus with the postponed game Bologna v Juventus will have to wait for the recovery game to take back the first position.  Right now Juventus are in the second position with 45 points and a positive goal difference of +20.

The first leg on Week 4 ended with a draw in San Siro, AC Milan 1 - 1 Udinese on September 21, 2011.

Udinese will be playing next week in the UEFA Europa League against PAOK while AC Milan will be playing the Champions League against Arsenal on Wednesday. So, you bet, both teams would want to win this game without risking more injured players, especially Milan having already 13 injured players.

Here is the disciplinary situation.  Udinese without suspended players and just one player with one yellow card away from suspension:  Mauricio Isla.
AC Milan with 2 suspended players, Mark Van Bommel  and Zlatan Ibrahimovic with 3 banned games.
Five players with one yellow card:  Aquilani, Bonera, Mesbah, Antonini, Seedorf

After the game, top scorer for Udinese is forward Antonio DI Natale with 17 goals being also the top scorer this season.
Top scorer for AC Milan is is forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic with 15 goals. Though, Ibrahimovic won't play today as he is suspended.

Allegri having problems with the injured players and Zlatan suspended is force to make a turnover.   Maxi Lopez might have more playing time, as well as Filippo Inzahi.  However, most likely, it is El Shaarawy to be picked in the lineup.

Here is the official lineup frm UDINESE by coach Francesco Guidolin:

Udinese Calcio (3-5-1-1) – Francesco Guidolin Samir Handanovic; Mehdi Benatia, Danilo, Maurizio Domizzi; Dušan Basta, Mauricio Isla, Michele Pazienza, Gelson Fernandes, Pablo Armero; Almen Abdi, Antonio Di Natale.

Domizzi playing his 200th game in Serie A.

Here is
the official lineup from AC MILAN by coach Massimiliano Allegri:

AC Milan (4-3-1-2)
– Massimiliano Allegri Marco Amelia; Igaznio Abate, Philippe Mexes, Thiago Silva, Djamel Mesbah; Urby Emanuelson, Massimo Ambrosini, Antonio Nocerino; Clarence Seedorf; Stepahn El Shaarawy, Robinho.
