Here are the declarations from AC Milan VP Adriano Galliani after the Coppa Italia Semifinal First Leg match,  AC Milan 1 - 2 Juventus on Wednesday 8 February 2012.

"Our squad is not inferior to Juventus but at the same time we have 13 players out. In midfield alone we have 8 players out so everything gets a bit more complicated even though we played a good game. When you have so many players out, it gets difficult. They have all these strikers available to play and we have all these strikers in the infirmary, with all due respect to the players that played and did the best they could. There no need to get obsessive. We did the best we could and we could have drawn the game as well. We conceded quite strange goals, both of them. But now we won’t think of the Italian cup, we’ll think of the league. We’ve already been through a similar situation in the first half of the seaoson but we can’t think get caught up in it now. We’ll recharge the batteries. We’ll go to Udine and play there and then for the Champions League we should get some players back.”

“El Shaarawy is a fantastic player, there aren’t many 19 year olds like him. It was an investment bringing him here and he’s doing well. He’s certainly an important player for the team and we’re hoping to get Pato back soon as well. Gattuso is much better than he was but that’s going to take time as it will for Flamini. We’ll get the players back but now we need to stay calm and be patient. We have to highest number of injuries in Italy at the moment, very few muscular injuries though. Each problem is unique and has its own story. We’re strong though. A great club and a great team.

We’ll get players back and we’ll get back on a winning run. If we get four or five back then we’ll go on a  run. Also because after Juventus we’ll have played almost all the top teams and we’ll be able to get back up the table. We’ll have a squad with some options because who’s playing now is playing well, but a game every three days leaves you breathless.”
