Video, Daniele De Rossi Renews Contract with AS Roma until 2017, Conference on February 6, 2012

A joyful day for AS Roma with the confirmation from midfielder Daniele De Rossi renewing his contract signing a new five year contract until 2017.  Announcement made by AS Roma director Franco Baldini during the press conference with Daniele De Rossi and Baldini on Monday February 6, 2012.  The annual salary for  €10 million euros, making it  €5.5 million net, and a series of bonuses related to appearances and the team’s results. Baldini also confirming that  "There is no release clause in the contract, which contains an agreement that the club will receive 50% of the player’s image rights." 

Originally, the announcement made on Sunday February 5 and celebration high as it was on a victorious day.  AS Roma playing the Serie A Week 22 match defeating Inter with a poker result AS Roma 4 - 0 Inter.    Roma fans are now happy as all rumors of De Rossi transfer market to other teams are over. Daniele De Rossi is seen by many fans as the future AS Roma captain.   De Rossi is a "Romanista doc," he was born in Rome on July 24, 1983.

De Rossi declaring on his press conference, "That what I needed is here.  I don't deny I had some indecision, but at the end I realize that I am fine here." De Rossi saying that he was not pressured by current captain Francesco Totti to make his decision, but by his image of being happy in Roma.  Plus, De Rossi looks forward to win the Scudetto with Roma.
