"It’s disappointing that he missed his chance but Robinho also created some favourable situations," AC Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri after the draw with Napoli, Sunday 5 February 2012

@ItalianSerieANo brainer that AC Milan wasted a chance to climb to the top playing in San Siro against Napoli to only get a goalless draw AC Milan 0 - 0 Napoli on Sunday 5 February 2012. Here are the declarations from AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri after the match. By, the way Allegri also sent off during the match for protest.
Allegri said, "It was a thorough performance from the team. The ball didn’t run
very well due to the state of the pitch and we didn’t create very much
in the first half. In the second half we continued creating even when we
were down to 10 men. Nothing has changed in the league but we
definitely have to get back winning soon. It’s an important point today
but more than anything, the type of performance we put in was important
because it showed our character. Of course it would have been better to
win. No players will come back for the game against Arsenal as there’s
only a few days left but the players I have available are fine and
they’ll do well.
It was important to put in a good performance.
We had to suffer a bit but we also could have won but lately we’ve been conceding goals as soon as we let our guard down. Today the team did well to remain tight and keep attention levels high, especially when we were down to 10 men. It’s an important point for the league. We’ve now understood how to play the tougher games when we have to. It’s disappointing that he missed his chance but Robinho also created some favourable situations. It was a pretty bad miss but he creates a lot and he created a lot last year. I think the episode with Robinho might have been a half penalty and he reacted very well after he missed his chance. Today Maxi Lopez only came on for 10 minutes and now he’ll have more space. Abbiati felt a bit of a muscle strain and we’ll have to wait and see.
"I protested over a throw in that should have been ours and they sent me off," AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri"
Ibra is fine, the sending off was excessive and the referee didn’t even see it. We’ll see what the punishment that’s handed down is. Ibra pays for anything that he does. I can’t say he’s being singled out but he definitely always pays for even small gestures. In the end though, the good moments cancel out the bad.”
