Palermo keeping their spirits high with a home victory defeating Atalanta  after a brilliant performance last week at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium grabbing a golden draw with Inter thanks to the 3 goals by forward Fabrizio Miccoli.   Inter 4 - 4 Palermo  It's the third consecutive home victory for Palermo.

A good day for Palermo and Miccoli.  Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini before the match giving an award to Fabrizio Miccoli for being the top scorer for Palermo reaching 64 goals (before the match) passing the record from Carlo Radice having 62 goals.

Atalanta remaining with 10 players after Referee Brighi gives a RED CARD to goalkeeper Andrea Consigli in the 26th minute for a foul on Palermo forward Fabrizio Miccoli.  Consigli conceding this penalty which was converted by Fabrizio Miccoli with a right footed shot defeating goalkeeper in the bottom right corner where goalkeeper Frezzolini could not save.   Another blow for Atalanta the sent off from coach Stefano Colantuono in the 65th minute for protesting. 

Atalanta succumbing at the Renzo Barbera still have a pending game after the Week 21 match against Cesena was postponed for bad weather.

It's an important victory Palermo are in the 8th position with 31 points and an even goal difference of 0.

Atalanta are in the 14th position wit 23 points and a negative goal difference of -2.
