Video, Argentinian Forward Hernan Crespo Confirms Leaving Parma on Thursday 2 February 2012

It's official.  Argentinian forward Herman Crespo departs from Parma by his own decision on Thursday 2 February 2012.  A tearful press conference from Crespo, evidently attached to the club, accompanied by Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi.   Crespo starting the conference with his statement, "It's not easy for me to explain the reasons why  I am concluding today  my adventure with Parma, but also to playing football after 19 years.  I would have preferred  not to do this, but I had to."  Crespo had to pause for  a moment holding his tears when President Ghirardi understanding the situation asked for an applause for Crespo to let him compose himself. 
 
Crespo, basically, stating his  decision for leaving the club after realizing that he was no longer technically part of the team this season,  "I didn't want to be a weight for Parma, and it's not nice to be left on the bench or in the stands," said Crespo. 

Crespo not confirming any move for the moment to any other club as latest news of joining Indian football.  That was not the reason why Crespo leaves Parma.   Crespo mentioned that there were indeed many other options and having also proposals.   Crespo saying that he will listen to proposals, but that he wants to end his career in Parma.  Among the proposals, Crespo mentioned offers from the United States, India, Qatar, though nothing concrete. 

Crespo saying that the Indian Football League invited him to be part of the project.  If accepting this project, it means Crespo would have to move to West Bengal.  It is reported that team Barasat are the ones interested to sign Crespo, as reported by Indian media Zee News.  Argentine soccer legend Hernan Crespo became the hottest property of a new Indian soccer league starting next month when he fetched USD 840,000 in an auction of players and coaches in Kolkata city on Monday"
