Roma and Bologna  needed to restart to the winning path, but only managing a draw.  Roma eliminated in Coppa Italia by Juventus, though, gaining momentum in Serie A.  Bologna risking to fall in relegation zone.

Surprise at the Olimpico with Bologna awakening the Roman gladiators after the goal by forward Marco Di Vaio to put Bologna in the lead in the 56th minute. An assist by Jean Francois Gillet towards the center to find Di Vaio for a left footed shot defeating AS Roma goalkeeper Stekelenburg in the bottom right corner. A cold shower at the Olimpico.

Roma reacting in the 62nd minute to equalize the score with Miralem Pjanic from a free kick delivering a right footed shot defeating Bologna goalkeeper in the bottom left corner.

This draw keeps AS Roma in the 6th position with 32 points and a positive goal difference of +8.  Bologna remaining in the 16th position with 21 points and a negative goal difference of -8.   Roma living a good moment with Captain Francesco Totti celebrating a new record scoring 221 goals for Roma breaking the record of Nordahl.  Question is whether Bologna would succumb to the pressure at the Olimpico or defeat the Roman gladiators.

Top scorer for AS Roma is forward Pablo Osvaldo with 7 goals.
Top scorer for Bologna is forward Marco Di Vaio with 6 goals.

Here is the disciplinary situation.  No suspended players for AS Roma only 3 players with one yellow card:  Cassetti, Gago, De Rossi.  One suspended player for Bologna: Ramirez and two players with one yellow card: Raggi, Mudingayi.
