The transfer market from Lopez easier than the rocky road negotiations to sign the Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez turning impossible. The news received with a big smile by Maxi Lopez who was already in Milan awaiting for the news. Maxi Lopez signed a contract on loan from Catania Calcio until June 30 2015, with an option to make the move permanent.

Here is the official announcement as appeared in AC Milan official website:MILAN - Milan have announced that they have signed Maxi Lopez on loan from Catania Calcio, with an option to make the move permanent. The player has signed a contract to June 30, 2015.
MILAN - After an intense afternoon, Milan has made its choice. Maxi Lopez is a new Rossoneri player. He comes to fulfill the dream of a lifetime after days of waiting were rewarded tonight shortly after 7pm.
The attacker joins from Catania, where he arrived in January 2010 and helped save the Sicilians from relegation with 11 goals in 17 games: An average worthy of the best strikers in the continent. Even last year, he was in double figures confirming him as one of the top strikers in Serie A.
Maxi started out at River Plate where he won three Argentine titles, then he made the big jump to Europe with Barcelona where he helped them win a Champions League and two Liga titles.
And then Majorca, FK Moscow, Gremio and then finally the arrival in Italy with Catania. Now Milan. The dream has been fulfilled. Welcome Maxi.
