@ItalianSerieA Here are the declarations from AC Milan CEO Adriano Gallini after losing the Milan Derby, AC MILAN 0 - 1 INTER on Sunday 15 January 2012 for the Serie A Week 18 in San Siro:
"We had a lot of possession but there were very few chances. It was clear that whoever scored was going to win. We’re still 5 points ahead of Inter and only a point from the top. Between Inter’s 32 points and Juve’s 38 points, there are five teams. We conceded in our best period of the game. You win or you lose due to individual incidents. And today we lost.
Inter gave us very little space but nevertheless, we had more possession than them, but in football you can lose because of single moments. What counts is the table. It’s impartial and with 20 games left, it says Milan are five points ahead of Inter. It was a game that would have given us the top spot in the league but we didn’t do it. Other results however mean that we’re only a point from the top. Three points against Inter are the same as the three points against Cagliari or Novara. We have to get to 40 points (before the half way mark) like we did last year and that’s still a possibility. There was a moment of depression in the changing room after the game but we’re already over it. The President shares my analysis. That’s life, that’s football and that’s fine.”
