Here are the declarations from Inter coach Claudio Ranieri during the Press Conference on Saturday January 14, 2012 on the eve of the Milan Derby for the Serie A Week 18, AC Milan v Inter.  The Derby della Madonnina  to be played on Sunday January 15 in San Siro at 20:45.

Ranieri   at the press conference in Appiano Gentile saying, "Derbies are always special games. The league position doesn't matter, it's a massive thing for the fans, the players and public opinion in general. We're ready for Milan. They won the league last year and they're back up there now. We respect them but we're going to try and beat them."

Ranieri adding, "All that really counts tomorrow is getting the three points. If we win, we'll be back in the mix challenging for important targets and Milan will have dropped points; if we lose, we'll go back to where we were but we'll still have time to fight and catch up."

On the fitness of  goalkeeper Julio Cesar,Ranieri commenting: "At the moment he seems to be doing well. Hopefully that will continue tomorrow but there's always a little worry when it's a back problem," the coach explained.

The coach was also asked about Wesley Sneijder, who is available for selection tomorrow: "How many minutes has he got in him? I don't know because he hasn't played yet but he's fine. He's fit again and so are Chivu and Forlan. I'm sorry for Stankovic, though: he's felt his tendon again. It looked as though they were all going to be available so I'm sorry for him."

Ranieri then identified what Inter will have to watch out for tomorrow: "We must be very careful when they break because they have players who can hurt you on the counter-attack."

Ranieri also had a message for all Interisti: "Our fans can be sure that we'll battle for every ball. I hope it will be a derby that they can enjoy. We do this job to make the fans happy. May the best team win."
