An important victory for Lazio and for coach Edy Reja winning his 300th match.  Lazio taking the lead in the 18th minute with midfielder Hernanes converting a penalty conceded by Atalanta defender Andrea Masiello.
In the 92nd minute it is forward Miroslav Klose to close the deal scoring the second goal for Lazio.

  Atalanta still under the black shadow from Captain Cristiano Doni and the match fixing scandal.  Last week Atalanta fans displaying a giant banner telling Doni they had enough about him. 

Top scorer for Lazio is forward Miroslav Klose with 9 goals.
Top scorer for Atalanta is forward German Denis with 12 goals.  Denis is the top scorer this season up to Week 17 along Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale and AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Here is the disciplinary situation.  One suspended player for Lazio: goalkeeper Bizzarri and one player with one yellow card:  Radu.
One suspended player for Atalanta until 2015:  Cristiano Doni and seven players with one yellow card:  Capelli, Consigli, Peluso, Manfredini, Carmona, Denis, Cigarini.

Lazio taking the lead after a penalty conceded by Atalanta defender Andrea Masiello for a foul inside the penalty area on Lazio midfieler Alvaro Gonzales in the 18th minute.  Lazio midfielder Hernanes converts the penalty with a right footed shot defeating Atalanta goalkeeper in the bottom left corner.

Things get complicated for Lazio with Lazio coach Edy Reja forced to make two substitution in the 42nd minute for injury.   Hernanes the author of the goal replaced by Francesco Matuzalem and Mobido Diakite replacing Andre Dias also for injury. 

Atalanta remaining in 10 after Referee Banti gives a second yellow card in the 52nd minute  to Atalanta defender Stefano Lucchni  being an automatic red card for a foul on Lazio forward Tommaso Rocchi.  Lucchini protest and arguing with Rocchi as telling him "I did not touch you.", but Banti not changing his decision and Lucchini leaves the pitch.  Coach Colantuono forced to adjust his formation and makes a substitution.  Colantuono  replaces Guido Marilungo in the 52nd minute  to brig Gianpaolo Bellini.

In the 92nd minute there you go... Mr. KLOSE!  An assist by Senad Lulic to forward Miroslav Klose smacking a left footed shot defeating Atalanta goalkeeper in the bottom left corner. Klose celebrating and this is his 9th goal of the season.
