Udinese 1 - 2 Chievo Verona

A smashing result, unexpected for Udinese losing at home and eliminated from the Coppa Italia by Chievo Verona. Yep, a total upset with a determined Chievo going to the Friuli and taking away the qualification to the Coppa Italia Quarterfinals. Chievo will play the Quarterfinal against AC Siena. This time not even Udinese talisman captain Antonio Di Natale could save the them, though, scoring in the 84th minute to equalize the score after the opening goal by Chievo Verona Sammarco. Final dagger in the agonizing 91st minute when Thereau smacked a to give Chievo their qualification to the Quarter Final. It's a cold shower ending at the Friuli for Udinese and a warm returning home for Chievo.
Just imagine the joy from Cyril Thereau! He was not even in the lineup! The happiest of all would be Chievo Verona coach Domenico Di Carlo seeing his "substitute" Thereau making the difference. Thereau replaced Moscardelli in the 68th minute.
