"We knew it would be a tough game and that we’d be up against a team with character who had yet to lose at home. They caused us problems. Atalanta are having a great season and in terms of quality they have no connection with the teams at the bottom of the table.

It’s an important victory because it’s not easy to win here. It was important to get back into the league with a win because we have two very difficult months ahead of us.

I didn’t put Pippo on the pitch because even at 2-0, the game wasn’t over. I could have put him on for the last 2 minutes but at that time I didn’t think of it. It wasn’t a beautiful game today. I though that the team would pay a price for the physical work we did in Dubai, but there were actually very sharp.

The derby is the derby. Sunday is a huge game. It’ll be a good game too because Inter are doing great things and so are we.

I’m happy with what Pato did; we didn’t hug each other only because we were focused on the game. The penalty seemed clear cut. We’ll have Abate back for the derby. I’m not sure about the others."
