Here are the declarations from AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri  on the eve of the Serie A Week 17 match, Atalanta v AC Milan to be played on Sunday January 8, 2012 at the Atleti Azzurri D'Italia stadium.

Allegri declaring during the press conference at the Centro Sportivo Milanello on Saturday January 7: “Tomorrow will be a tough game in a tough stadium against a team that have won 26 points, the same as Inter. It’s never easy to play in Bergamo. The team reflect the coach’s character and the impose themselves well.”

“It made me happy to see Gattuso back playing as it will when Cassano gets back.

I spoke with Galliani yesterday. We talked about the team but not the transfer market. We have to stay focused, we have a tough restart. We’re aware of tomorrow’s challenge and the tough two months ahead.”

“The team worked well in Dubai both tactically and physically. We needed to do some specific work even if the team always trains well.”

“Pato-Robinho isn’t a real head scratcher. All my players are potential starters. We have 50 games to play and no one can play all of them. There are games where perhaps all the forwards can play together, maybe even tomorrow, or maybe one will stay on the bench in favor of a playmaker.”

“Tomorrow Aquilani, Abate, Gattuso, Flamini and Seedorf, who spent an extra three days in Dubai, will all be navailable. Ambrosini is suspended. Boateng is back fit. We don’t have many options in midfield. We have Van Bommel, nocerino, Emanuelson and Boateng. As far as Robinho as a playmaker goes, I’ll have to see later. It’ll be tough tomorrow and very physical.”

“What I’m interested in is having all my players available in the best shape possible. I haven’t see Tevez play and he’s still a City player. I want to talk about the players I have. For Tevez, or any other player that may come, it doesn’t make sense to talk about them before they’re here.”

“There’s no problem with Pato. I believe he’s stay with Milan and that’s what I want. He’s be like an new signing as he didn’t play much in the first half of the season due to injuries.”

“I have to send the list of Champions league players by February. Football is in constant evolution. You have to work week by week. Who would have thought that I’d have 6 player missing from the midfield? That’s the way football is. Inzaghi played a good second half in Dubai.”

“We needed to put some stamina in our legs in Dubai, because for the next two months we’ll have a game every three days and we’ll have very little time to train. More than keeping Inter at bay, we need the three points from tomorrow’s game and we know it won’t be easy.”

“Injuries conditioned the start of the season more than the fixture list and that’s why in these next two months we have a lot at stake both in Europe and most of all, in the league.”

“I have to evaluate who to play at full back today. It could be Zambrotta, Bonera, Taiwo or Antonini. Taiwo did well in Dubai and trained well too. He played well against Siena and Cagliari.”
