UEFA Champions League Round of 16

AC Milan are in the 1st position with 37 points and a positive goal difference of +21.  A record for Milan not losing in 11 games  having 9 wins and 2 draws.  Milan crushing Atalanta record of not losing at home this season, this is the first lost.  AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic putting Milan back to the first position after converting a penalty in the 22nd minute.   Udinese playing earlier defeated Cesena reaching 35 points.

AC Milan continue the winning path in the 3 races... Serie A, Champions League and Coppa Italia   Milan with the ongoing transfer debate on whether  Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez will move to Milan or not.   Another headache for the rossoneri is the tension between Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato and Coach Massimiliano Allegri  hinting a possible depart from Pato....    Atalanta are also in the "struggling zone" with the ongoing reference of the match fixing scandal seeing former captain Cristiano Doni involved  more than what was assumed.

Good news for Atalanta is having the top scorer of the Season with forward German Denis scoring so far 12 goals, though, now, the leadership is shared.  Yep, AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Udinese foreward Antonio Di Natale also scoring and reaching to 12 goals each too.

Here is the disciplinary situation.  Interestingly, The two captains are suspended.  A serious suspension until the year 2015 from Atalanta captain Cristiano Doni for the match fixing scandal.   On the other hand, AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini suspended for 1 game.

Here is the official lineup from ATALANTA by coach Stefano Colantuono:

ATALANTA (4-4-1-1): Consigli; Masiello, Ferri, Manfredini, Peluso; Schelotto, Cigarini, Carmona, Padoin; Marilungo; German Denis.

Here is the official lineup from AC MILAN by coach Massimiliano Allegri:

MILAN (4-3-1-2):  Christian Abbiati;  Daniele Bonera,  Philippe  Mexes, Thiago Silva, Gianluca Zambrotta; Kevin Prince Boateng,  Mark Van Bommel, Antonio Nocerino; Emanuelson; Alexandre Pato, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

In the 22nd minute, Milan taking the lead with forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic converting a penalty with a right footed shot defeating Atalanta goalkeeper in the bottom left corner despite going to the right direction.  Penalty conceded by Thomas Manfredini for a foul on Milan forward Alexandre Pato bringing him down inside the penalty box.

A combo goal with the assist by Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the 82nd minute leaving Atalanta player Manfredini in awe as to "how can I stop him"... Ibrahimovic lifting his eyes to make a cross towards the center finding midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng to deliver a right footed shot and there you .  players congratulating Ibrahimovic and Boateng... a super show by Ibrahimovic.
