Status quo between the  Tuscan teams  same after ending the "Tuscan Derby" with a goalless draw which does not help any.  Siena had their chances to open the score first with forward Emanuele Calaio but hits the cross bar.  Siena might have not taken the full 3 points , but at least  ends the four consecutive defeats, which "collecting a "single point."

Fiorentina now with 18 points and AC Siena with 15 points.

Although goals did not arrive, yellow cards were arriving faster reaching  the amazing  amount of 5 yellow cards for Siena and 5 yellow rads for Fiorentina. BOY!  A busy day for Referee Luca Banti

News was to see Fiorentina forward  Alberto Gilardino on the bench instead of being in the lineup.   Coach Delio Rossi  used Gilardino only until the 63rd minute when substituting Alessio Cerci.
