AC Milan failing  in Bologna  to keep the race for the Scudetto with Juventus. A draw resulting in Milan losing the second position because Udinese who also had 27 points like Milan defeated Chievo Verona and take the second position.   Overall, not a good day for Referee Rocchi, protests for a penalty not given to Bologna, and contested penalty for AC Milan.

Bologna battling like giants.    Opening the score is Bologna in the 11th minute following a fast break.  An assist by Alessandro Diamanti  to forward Marco Di Vaio making a right footed shot from outside the box  defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia in the bottom left corner.

Five minutes later the goal from Di Vaio,, and Milan equalizing the score in the 16th minute.  An assist by midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng for midfielder Clarence Seedorf delivering a right footed shot defeating Bologna goalkeeper in the top right corner .
In the 71st minute Referee Rocchi  gives a penalty to  AC Milan  conceded by Andrea Raggi  bringing down Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.  Protests among Bologna  players for the penalty.  Converting the penalty spot is Ibrahimovic with a right footed shot defeating Bologna goalkeeper Gillet  who went the opposite side while the ball ended in the top right corner

Milan not even finishing celebrating the goal by Ibrahimovic when  Bologna equalizes the score. Yep, in the 73rd minute an assist by Bologna defender Diego Perez to an inspired Alessandro Diamanti  who minutes earlier was encouraging his teammates not to give up, and bam, a right footed shot from outside the box defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia in the bottom right corner.  Diamanti celebrating like a lion with a wide shout  while his teammates  joining to congratulate him  among the  ovation from the fans.

Five minutes added tie not enough  for Milan to grab the victory.  A draw for Bologna worth of a victory.   At the end of the game the visible  long faces from Milan players disappointed for the result.  Milan VP Adriano Galliani watching from the tribune  also  with a somber look.  Opposite reaction from Bologna with smiling faces for this golden  1 point.

BOLOGNA: Gillet, Crespo, Raggi, Portanova, Morleo, Casarini, Mudignani, Kone, Ramirez, Diamanti, Di Vaio.
