IGNAZIO ABATE

"It’s a strange game to swallow but there’s no use in hiding. It’s normal that teams try to play aggressively against us. We started with the handbrake on, we should have pushed forward more and with more power. With the quality we have, we have to win these games, we should have been more competitive. We shouldn’t rely solely on the qualities we have, we have to keep pushing and show what we have on the pitch. Now we have to think about the game against Siena because they’re not going through an easy period and they’ll definitely be very physically competitive. We have to concentrate on winning.”

MARCO AMELIA

"I’m disappointed because we should have turned the result around but after Ibrahimovic made it 2-1, Diamanti got the better of me. Maybe I should have pushed it away but I wanted to catch it. maybe from a technical point of view, it would have been a better idea to have pushed it away. Now we have to focus on winning the next two games.”

MARK VAN BOMMEL

"It was a strange game. I think we’ve lost 2 points rather than gained 1. We didn’t play badly, but what we did wasn’t enough to get all three points. Today there were episodes for both teams that could have changed things, but the referee is a man, not a machine and mistakes will be made. Maybe days like today suggest that we should be using more technology on the pitch. Now we just have to concentrate on winning the next two games.”

URBY EMANUELSON

"Today was a very tough game, but when we went 2-1 up, we should have shut the game down then but then Bologna equalised almost immediately. It’s important to win the next two games now because Juventus are on top of the table and we need as many points as possible to get to them.”

AC MILAN COACH MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI

"It’s always annoying to concede goals and it’s especially annoying because of the way we did it. For the second goal in particular, we made mistakes as a team.

Bologna played a great game: They ran, they pressed and were very good on the counter attack. We didn't make the most out the chances we got and we risked a bit twice when we lost the ball in the middle of the field. Robinho only came on in the second half and he didn’t do badly, but it’s difficult to get in the game when it’s being played with such intensity. Pato did some things well and some things less so. He has to get his rhythm back but he’ll grow.

"We wanted to win here in Bologna but we couldn’t do it. I think in the last 9 games, the standard has been kept high and we need to continue like this," said Allegri.

Yepes twisted his ankle and was in a bit of pain, that’s why I took him off. Barcelona played well in ‘El Classico’ and showed exactly what kind of a team they are.
Today the referee made mistakes against both teams. I didn’t say anything after the game against Fiorentina when we had four decisions go against us and I won’t comment now either.

We started well, then we conceded on a counter attack with the pitch wide open. Then we lost patience an we gave Bologna the chance to come at us. In the last 15 minutes we had a lot of the ball and we didn’t make anything out of it. There’s always a risk that you can lose these type of games, so in the end it’s a good point earned.”
