@ItalianSerieA Hello my friends. Here is the 2011 - 2012 Italy Serie A Roundup Week 14 valid for Matchday 14 on Friday December 2, Saturday December 3, Sunday December 4, and Monday 5, 2011. Sole leader this week is Juventus with 29 points and a positive goal difference of +14. Juventus followed by AC Milan and Udinese with 27 points each, Milan with +15 goal difference and Udinese with +10.
Shocking result is that of the Giuseppe Meazza with Udinese defeating Inter in front of their fans. A game with 2 failed penalties. Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale denied to show a goal when Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar saves the penalty. The oh my gosh moment came when Inter forward Giampaolo Pazzini also failing to convert a penalty when sending his right footed shot to the stars...... yep... he slipped in the final moment. It could have been the equalizer goal.
Juventus reaffirming their leadership, the bad news is the injury from Captain Alessandro Del Piero after the kick on the head by Cesena defender Marco Rossi. Del Piero needing 8 stitches and stretchered off in the 63rd minute.
A sacking this week is Lecce coach Eusebio Di Francesco sacked after losing the game with Napoli on Saturday December 3, Napoli 4 - 2 Lecce. Replacing Di Francesco is coach Serse Cosmi.
Another blow was the defeat of AS Roma losing the match with Fiorentina. Roma also playing with 10 players since the 15 minutes after defender Juan was sent off for the foul leading to the penalty on Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic. At the end Roma ending up with 8 players!!! Yep, 3 players with red cards in total. A M A Z I N G
Status quo in the "relegation area" is the same. Novara with 10 points, Cesena with 9 points, and Lecce with 8 points. Lecce having the worst defense of the Serie A this season conceding so far 23 goals while scoring 11 with a negative goal difference of -12.
