Although FC Barcelona and AC Milan already qualified to the  next round of the Champions League, nothing is taken for granted.  AC Milan  passing as second from Group H with 8 points and Barcelona as group leaders with 13 points. The results from Matchday 6 will not affect the order.   Milan are ready in Prague to play Matchday 6, Viktoria Plzen  v AC Milan  on Tuesday December 6, 2011.

: "The team has to be motivated because we’re playing in the Champions League. It’s important for all of us to do well and get a good result. It’s also important to do well in three league games before Christmas. It’ll be tough tomorrow because a point will get them into the Europa League. We’ll have to play hard because they played a good game at the San Siro. Ibra will start from the bench and then I’ll decide if he should play for a fraction of the game or to rest him completely. That team was put together to win the title, not to improve on their seventh place finish. They’re doing well. Unbeaten after 13 games and with results like the one they got in Naples means that the team has all the right cards to fight for the title. Marchisio? He’s become more important for them this year, but even in the past he had all the characteristics that he’s showing now. He wasn’t the Mister X from the summer anyway. There’s no way Juventus would sell him. Comapred to them we have the European games, but that’s definitely not a problem and it’s even easier when the players make themselves available. You can’t plan the league, you have to play it right to the end.”

On other themes: "Abbiati is doing much better, He’ll be looked at day by day. Inter? They’re 13 points away from us with a game in hand and 15 points from Juventus. That’s a lot because there are many teams ahead of them. It’s one thing racing against one other team, it’s another racing against many different teams. But they’re well equipped. "A Champions League match is never banal and can’t be taken for granted. It’s important for out prestige to honour this game. We also have to take into consideration that winning is a habit and that goes for the league as well. If I think back to when I played here in the UEFA cup 16 years ago I remember being emotional but I have to look at the present and the future. Me and my team mates have a lot left to give. We all know that winning the Champions League needs a bit of luck as well, if you look to the start of the season, there were suspensions and injuries. We’ve said from the start that there was a gap between us and Real Madrid and Barcelona that needed to be bridged. Real are growing and against Barcelona we saw the difference s between us two. But we’re growing as well, like Real. Last year in the last 16 we were in strange form. Once there, anything can happen.”
