A magic night for Palermo reaching their sixth consecutive home victory at the Renzo Barbera Stadium after defeating Fiorentina with their ex coach "Delio Rossi." Th heroes for Palermo is the duo Fabrizio Miccoli and Josip Ilicic, goal and assist.
Ex Palermo Coach Delio Rossi acclaimed by his ex fans and players at the Renzo Barbera Stadium. Rossi now coaching Fiorentina experienced the love of Palermo people grateful for his period and work done while he coached Palermo. Sad point for him is losing the match with his new team Fiorentina.

Setting the party tone at the Barbera is the one and only "icon, talisman, the one and only" forward Fabrizio Miccoli by opening the score in the 22nd minute. Following a fast break, there is the assist by midfielder Josip Ilicic towards the center finding forward Fabrizio Miccoli to deliver a left footed shot defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper in the bottom left corner. Immediate celebration from Miccoli towards the fans and you bet the entire Barbera trembled with the jump from the fans to embrace Miccoli who literally jumped the bar to be in the zone of the fans showing him with applause and praises like "grande"
Sadly, Miccoli substituted for injury in the 42nd minute by Ignacio Lores.
In the 72nd minute Valon Behrami commits a foul on Palermo midfielder Josip Ilicic and is a free kick. Now, here is the cherry on top of the ice cream.. taking the free kick is Ilicic and color pink waving from right to left and left to right when he smacks a left footed shot to score the second goal of the match defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper in the top right corner. At this point, you bet Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is celebrating and being a fan, a proud fan to see his team defeating the "ex coach Rossi."
