UEFA Champions League Group Stage

Napoli  showing determination and  character in the game against Manchester City for the  next stage to the Champions League.  A brilliant  forward Edinson Cavani with two goals  giving the victory to Napoli while acclaimed by the thousands at the San Paolo Stadium.    Napoli a  step closer to the qualification with this victory keeping the second position with 8 points while Manchester City are now in third position with 7 points. Leading the group is Bayern Munich with 13 points.

Napoli are now  one point ahead of   Manchester City.  Napoli battling bravely in the so called group of death.   It's a tough  defeat for Manchester City who now have to defeat Bayern Munich.  Napoli will play the last game against Villarreal.

The battle  between Napoli forward Edinson Cavani and Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli.  You bet, the winner today is Cavani scoring 2 goals! to grab the victory and 3 points.   The notes of the "Surdano 'nnamorato" embracing Cavani and teammates..... Napoli fans  outpouring their support for the team.

Cavani opening the score in the 17th minute with forward Edinson Cavani following a corner with assist by Ezequiel Lavezzi to the near post.  Perfect sport for Cavani to head the ball and  defeat  Hart.

Manchester City Mario Balotelli equalized the score in the 33rd minute with a right footed shot. Hum, well,  Balotelli not wasting time after the ball rebounded  with  the deflection  from Kolarov  by Napoli defender Salvatore Aronica  after the shot by David Silva. 

The  super  BIM BAM BOOM moment came in the second half, in the 49th minute with "EL Matador" Cavani  unlocking the draw  with a right footed shot defeating Manchester City goalkeeper Hart in the bottom right corner.  Cavani celebrating and Napoli players...let's get the music loud.... to the joy the over 50,00 fans at the San Paolo.  The happiest of all in the tribune is Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentis.
