Inter responding to the waking call obtaining a needed home victory.

Before the match Inter were in the 17th position with only 8 points and believe it or not, Inter with a negative goal difference of -5.  It seems absurd... this is why the waking call  for Inter is ringing and ringing and ringing...... this victory keeps Inter steps away the relegation area.

Two goals for Inter enough to grab the 3 points.  In the 54th minute, midfielder Thiago Motta scoring his second goal of the season.   A headed assist by forward Giampaolo Pazzini and from close range there it is  Motta to deliver a left footed shot all the way to the top left corner.

In the 60th minute, it is midfielder Philippe Coutinho to smack his first goal of the season. An assist by Ricardo Alvarez following a fast break and Coutinho coming from the left side delivers a right footed sho defeating Cagliari goalkeeper in the bottom left corner.  Coutinho running with open arms celebrating his first goal this season with Inter. 

Just before the end, Cagliari battling to  equalize.  Yet, the team of Ballardini not able to  draw, but only shortening the distance after the goal by Joaquin Larrivey. Imagine, Larrivey had a minute earlier substituted forward Nene for injury.  One minute later there you with a "thank you goal" for Ballardini giving his confidence.

Cagliari , before the match, are in the 10th position with 13 points and a negative goal difference of -1.  

It's a sad  debut of new "returning Cagliari coach" Davide Ballardini after replacing coach Massimo Ficcadenti.

 Top scorer for Inter  is Diego Milito with 3 goals while top scorer for Cagliari is Daniele Conti with 2 goal

Here is the disciplinary situation.  One suspended player for Inter:  defender Christian Chivu.  No suspended player for Cagliari only 1 player with one yellow card:  Nainggolan.
