AC Milan have been climbing the Serie A table after being near relegation area.   Milan are in the 4th position with 17 points and a positive goal difference of +5.  Catania are in the 6th position with 14 points and even "0" goal difference.  Milan can take the leadership only if Juventus, Udinese, and Lazio lose their respective games. Juve with 19, Udinese 18, Lazio 18.

Milan looking to obtain a home victory not only for the Serie A table, but also to dedicate to forward Antonio Cassano who underwent heart surgery and will be out at least 6 months.  Latest rumor is the possible transfer in January from Catania forward Maxi Lopez to replace Cassano for the end of the season.

Top scorer for AC Milan are forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and midfielder Antonio Nocerino with 4 goals each.  Top scorer for Catania is Bergessio with 3 goals.

Here is the disciplinary situation.  AC Milan with two suspended players:  midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng with 2 games suspension and midfielder Antonio Nocerino with 1 game. One player with one yellow card:  defender Alessandro Nesta.  No suspended players for Catania.  Two players with one yellow card:  Spolli and Lanzafame.

Here is the official lineup from AC MILAN by coach Massimiliano Allegri:

AC MILAN (4-3-1-2): Abbiati; Abate, Bonera, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta; Aquilani, Ambrosini, Seedorf; Emanuelson; Robinho, Zlatan.

Here is the official lineup from CATANIA by coach Vincenzo Montella:

CATANIA (3-5-2): Andujar; Bellusci, Legrottaglie, Spolli; Lanzafame, Almiron, Lodi, Ricchiuti, Marchese; Gomez, Bergessio.

AC Milan taking the lead in the 7th minute after Referee Referee Gervasoni grants a penalty to Milan conceded by Catania Davide Lanzafame for a foul on Robinho bringing him down inside the penalty box.  Lanzafame also gets a yellow card.  You bet this is not the ideal scenario for Catania.  Taking the penalty spot is forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and there you go a right footed shot defeating Catania goalkeeper Mariano Andujar in the bottom left corner. It's the 5th goal from Ibrahimovic.

Close up from Banners in San Siro "Antonio con noi" and other banners with Milan fans sending their good wishes for Cassano to recover soon

wow, wow, wow. say what!!! Yep, it is Robinho time... in the 23rd minute a magic move by Robinho following a fast break making his way and escaping to the mark from Bellusci causing him to slip while he keeps running to deliver his right footed shot defeating Catania goalkeeper Andujar in the bottom right corner.  It's the second goal from Robinho and the assist was by Ibrahimovic.

It's a  go get it for Milan  and by now with 4 goals... what else to do?  Bring the cheerleaders for a well deserved victory, a poker.....
