Here are the declarations from Inter coach Claudio Ranieri Press Conference on Tuesday November 1, 2011 ahead of the UEFA Champions League Group Staage Matchday 4, Inter v Lille on Wednesday November 2 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
"When there's a coaching change it's because certain things aren't going right. It's not that the Wizard of Oz comes along and changes everything with his magic wand. So I expected difficulties and came prepared to try to overcome them with the help the team," stated coach Claudio Ranieri – on the eve of the UEFA Champions League Matchday 4 – when asked if he had expected that he would have had to face so many difficulties upon his arrival.
On improving the team, Ranieri said, "Trying to solve the problem by coaching the team even more and waiting for the bad moment to pass. The goal scorers will start scoring again. There are many players on Inter's squad who are capable of scoring. We just need to wait and have strength and morale. It 's like when you have to push a car; at the beginning you have to push with all the force in the world, then just a hand and the car goes. So, we're pushing our hardest now to ensure that this car gets going."
