It's the turn for AC Milan to play in the Champions League on Wednesday October 19 against FC Bate  and keep the leadership from Group H. Milan leading the Group  with Barcelona  both having 4 points each.  Goal difference for Barcelona is +5 and for Milan is +2, Bate are in the  3rd position with just 1 point.    Here are the declarations from AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri on the eve of the match against FC Bate in San Siro:

“First place in the group, besides being a source of pride, it would be mean that in the last 16, we’d play a second placed team. To get that first place, we’ll start with a win tomorrow and then we’ll think about the other games. We have to move one game at a time and we definitely want to win tomorrow.

The team got the game wrong in Turin. Saturday was a good game in terms of intensity, quality and technique and also in terms of willingness while pushing forward and most importantly while defending. It might be the game that gets our season back on track. It was a good win and now we have a fundamental month ahead of us both for the Champions League and Serie A.

Robinho is an extraordinary player with a way of playing that pulls the team forward. Aquilani is a class player. He had a good game on Saturday but he still has to improve because he has more than he showed on Saturday. Nocerino did well too, the whole team did. Now we just need to string some positive results together.

Nocerino did better because he always plays on the left so that was no surprise for me. As far as the formation goes, I’ll think about that today. It’s been two days that Seedorf hasn’t trained with the team. Thiago Silva didn’t train yesterday. Van Bommel is okay but I don’t think Ambrosini will be available. Abbiati is the only one sure of starting.

Here are  the 20 official called up players from AC Milan by coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Goalkeepers: Christian Abbiati, Marco Amelia,
Defenders: Ignazio Abate, Luca  Antonini, Daniele Bonera, De Sciglio, Philippe Mexes, Alessandro Nesta, Taiwo, Gianluca Zambrotta, Mario Yepes,
Midfielders:  Alberto  Aquilani, Kevin Prince Boateng, Emanuelson, Antonio Nocerino, Mark Van Bommel,
Forwards:  Antonio Cassano, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Ganz.
