Support Serie A players in the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers
The Italian Serie A having many players represented in South America teams battling for the 2014 qualification. Here is the current Group Standing after games completed on Friday October 7, 2011, Round 1. Teams with higher Serie A called up players include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay.
One player scoring the preliminaries is Napoli forward Edinson Cavani for Uruguay in the 35th minute with final result Uruguay 4 - 2 Chile.
Argentina National football team called up 7 Serie A players and 1 Serie B: Catania goalkeeper Mariano Andujar, Sampdoria goalkeeper Sergio Romero, AS Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso, Napoli defender Federico Fernandez, Inter midfielder Ricardo Alvarez, Genoa forward Rodrigo Palacio, Atalanta forward German Deniz.
Uruguay National football team called up Bologna midfielder Diego Perez, Napoli midfielder Walter Gargano, Lazio midfielder Alvaro Gonzalez, Bologna midfielder Gaston Ramirez, Inter forward Diego Forlan, Napoli forward Edinson Cavani, and Palermo foward Abel Hernandez.
