A great start for new Inter coach Claudio Ranieri with his second victory. Inter defeating CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League Group Stage B with the winner goal by forward Mauro Zarate in Moscow.
CSKA Moscow 2 - 3 Inter on Tuesday September 27, 2011.
Claudio Ranieri declaring after the match, "It's three points on the board and after losing the first game that's what we needed to get us back on course in Europe. Now we're in it. It was great to see the lads wanting to win again and pushing forward as they know how to. We have a team full of top players and some more on the sidelines still to return, but let's give credit to those who did well tonight - they were fantastic, all of them. Alvarez worked very hard and contributed a lot; I knew the boy had quality and stamina. We have world-class players who proved their worth tonight, showing that they aren't past it. All I did was put them back in place. You do need a bit of luck too, that never hurts. I don't think Gasperini had the time or the luck."
