Mazzarri also acknowledged the words from Villareal coach Garrido, "their coach says that we are the most feared teams on the group. It means that we have grown in few months. In reality, these compliments from the Spanish make us feel proud. Though, we are conscious that Villareal has great experience and that we must play an optimum match to win. I know that we are growing. We are serene and conscious of our potential."

Regarding the critics from some journalists saying that Napoli is in crisis, Mazzarri said,
"I have read somewhere that we are even i crisis. After Milan's victory we were considered a team to win the Scudetto, now, it seems we are in difficulty. I know the truth and I know what are we doing. With Fiorentina we got a draw, at the end of the match players embraced as they had won a final. It will be like this from now on."
On unavailable players, Mazzarri said, "We won't have Maggio for injury in the match against Chievo. We won't have neither Dzemaili. Our priority is the Champions League and we must do a great game tomorrow."
