Hello my friends. We completed Serie A Week 4 today with AS Roma v AC Siena. It's a rushed week and I have to post this rushed preview so you can start posting your predictions. I will be updating this 2011 - 2012 Serie A Preview Week 5 valid for Match day 5 on Saturday September 24 and Sunday September 25, 2011. We might see changes in the top 3 positions with Genoa, Juventus, and Udinese all sharing 7 points. Main followed up will be for the game Bologna-Inter as a defeat for Inter means going down the relegation area. Inter having new coach Claudio Ranieri after the sacking from Gian Piero Gasperini.
There are 3 games on Saturday with AC Milan, Inter, and Napoli all participating in the Champions League.

Incredible so the defending champions are in the 16th position with only 2 points and a negative goal difference of -2. Cesena in the 20th position with "0" points and a negative goal difference of -4.
Milan struggled to obtain a draw in San Siro against Udinese complicating their standing. Here is the situation, Milan cannot afford another draw or a defeat risking to go down the relegation area. Surely, the emergency room is affecting Milan and latest injured player is forward Pato during the game with Udinese Reportedly, Pato might be out for 1 month which is a major blow.
However, Milan recovering forward Filippo Inzaghi who is not among the list for Champions League. SO, we might expect Allegri to use Inzaghi against Cesena along Antonio Cassano.
Not certain whether Allegri will save forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is returning from injury missing already 2 games.

It's a new era for Inter after the sacking from Coach Gian Piero Gasperini and the beginning with coach Claudio Ranieri. For sure, the much criticized 3-4-3 formation will be archived and back to a 4 defense man. It's the challenge for Ranieri to have a competitive team with Bolgona as a defeat means to be in the relegation area. Inter are in bad shape with 1 point and a negative goal difference of -3.
Here is the thing, Inter will need a victory as a reinforced boost for the upcoming Champions League game on Tuesday against CSKA Moscow.
It will be a tough game because Bologna are also in "desperate need" of wining considering they are in the 19th position with 1 point and a negative goal difference of -4

Napoli losing in Chievo lost the first position and went down to the 6th position. Next week Napoli playing the Champions League game against Villareal at the San Paolo. Clearly, the turnover by Mazzarri against Chievo backfired. Challenge will be for Mazzarri to use or not Edinson Cavani and Marek Hamsik who were on the bench for Chievo.
Fiorentina got their 3 points defeating Parma with 3 goals and the return to goal from Stevan Jovetic scoring a brace. Fiorentina will go for the 3 points and using their best players since they are not participating in Champions League.
