Hello my friends. This is a crazy week with  3 games in one week.  We barely ended  Serie A Week 3 on Sunday, now, Monday  I have to post this mini preview because we are playing Serie A Week 4 on Tuesday with  one game Novara - Inter, on Wednesday we have 8 more games, and on Thursday the last game with AS Roma - AC Siena.

So, jump in and here is the  rushed 2011 - 2012 Serie A Preview  Week 4 valid for Match day 4 on  Tuesday September 20, Wednesday September 21 and Thursday September 22, 2011.   Surprising this week with the defending Champions  AC Milan falling down  all the way to the 17th position and with -2 goal difference after  the Cavani goleada at the San Paolo.  Leading the table now is  Napoli under the wing of of forward Edinson Cacani

Napoli  forward Edinson Cavani is the first player this season to score a hat-trick and taking the Nike Seitiro ball  home after smacking 3 goals against AC Milan. You bet  neither Cavani, not Milan will forget this game.

We might see this week in the relegation area the  BIG ONES: AC MILAN, INTER, AS ROMA, and LAZIO if losing their respective games because  all of them have only 1 point!!!!! The Serie A is going upside down  with the "so called  small teams" doing even better than these big ones..

In the Champions League zone,  Napoli (6), Juventus (6), Udinese (6).

In the Europa League zone,   Genoa (4), Catania (4)

-  In the Relegation Area  - Cesena (0), Bologna (0) and  Atalanta in the 20th place starting with -2

AC Cesena - SS Lazio
Referee:  Domenico Celi di Campobasso    Assistants:  Nicoletti–Tonolini   Fourth Official:  Russo

Cesena in the 18th position with 0 points will look to win the first game this season.  Lazio are not living a good moment either with only 1 point and in the 13th position.  A defeat for Lazio means going even down to the relegation zone and increasing tension with fans and coach Edy Reja who was whistled in the last game.

Reportedly, in Correire dello Sport, Reja  went to the club to salute the team and resign, but President Lotito did not  accept it.   Not an esasy situation and  the task is to win this away game.  Lazio  are sinking.....

Challenge is also for Cesena forward Adrian Mutu to show is potential after his transfer from Fiorentina.

Anna Italia Prediction:  LAZIO

Chievo Verona - SSC Napoli
Referee:  Antonio Damato di Barletta    Assistants: Padovan–Di Fiore     Fourth Official:  Orsato

Chievo in the 11th position with 1 point and -1 goal difference while Napoli leading the Serie A table with 6 points and a positive goal difference of +4.

Motivation  high for Napoli with the roaring  MATADOR Edinson Cavani defeating AC Milan  at the San Paolo with his 3 goals.  Cavani is the first player scoring a hat trick taking the Nike Seitro ball.

Napoli will look to continue the winning road as next Tuesday there is the Champions League game at the San Paolo against Villareal.  Mazzarri will have to shuffle his players to pick a competitive teams for both games.  Napoli having only 1 point in Champions and they need more a victory in Champions right now.

There have been 5 away games with Chievo including Serie B and Serie A:.

Chievo 0 - 1 Napoli on November 29, 1998 in Serie B
Chievo 1 - 2 Napoli on March 12, 2000 in Serie A
Chievo 2 - 1 Napoli on January 18, 2009 in Serie A
Chievo 1 - 2 Napoli on May 2, 2010 in Serie A

Anna Italia Prediction:   DRAW

ACF Fiorentina - Parma FC
Referee: Nicola Rizzoli di Bologna    Assistants:  Romagnoli–De Pinto    Fourth Official:  Giancola

Genoa CFC - Catania

Juventus vs Bologna

Referee: Gianluca Rocchi di Firenze     Assistants: Alessandroni–Giallatini   Fourth Official: Nasca

AC Milan vs Udinese
Referee:  Luca Banti di Livorno    Assistants:  Giordano–Ghiandai    Fourth Official: Mazzoleni

For Milan is an emergency, a call for redemption, a call to wake up and smell the coffee because it is burning!   Milan are in the 17th position with only 1 point out of the available 6, plus having a negative goal difference of -2.  Wow, You might wonder whether I am joking, right?  Well, I am not joking, this is true.  Milan the defending champion risking to go down the relegation if losing or with a draw. OUCH.....

Udinese are in the 3rd position with 6 points and a positive goal difference of +4  sharing the spot with Napoli and Juventus.   On January 9, 2011 the game in San Siro ending with a draw Milan 4 - 4 Udinese.

Top scorer for Udinese this season is forward Antonio Di Natale compared to Milan forwards Antonio Cassano, Ibrahimovic scoring only 1 goal so far....

Here is the probable formation for AC MILAN (4-3-1-2): 32Abbiati, 20 Abate, 13 Nesta, 33 Thiago Silva, 77 Antonini, 22 Nocerino, 4 Van Bommel, 14 Aquilani, 10 Seedorf, 7 Pato, 99 Cassano

Here is the probable formation for UDINESE (4-4-1-1): 1 Handanovic, 24 Ekstrand, 5 Danilo, 11 Domizzi, 8 Basta,  3 Isla, 20 Asamoah, 27 Armero, 66 Pinzi, 25 Torje, 10 Di Natale

US Palermo - Cagliari
Referee:   Sebastiano Peruzzo di Schio    Assistants:  Rubino–Iannello     Fourth Official: Ciampi

Palermo in the 7th position with 3 points and even goal difference "0" while Cagliari holding the 4th position with 6 points and a  positive goal difference of +2.   Palermo coach Devis Mangia started his era with an important victory against Inter at the Barbera.  Challenge will be to repeat again, this time, against Cagliari.

Here is the probable formation for PALERMO (4-4-2:  33 Tzorvas, 31 Pisano, 3 Silvestre,  8 Migliaccio, 42 Balzaretti  7 Ilicic 5 Barreto, 7 Della Rocca, 7 Zahavi, 9 Hernandez, 10 Miccoli

Here is the probable formation for CAGLIARI (4-3-1-2): 1 Agazzi, 14 Pisano, 21 Canini, 13 Astori, 31 Agostini, 8 Biondini, 5 Conti, 4 Nainggolan, 7 Cossu, 18 Nenè, 19 Thiago RIbeiro

Thursday September 22, 2011

AS Roma - AC Siena
Referee:  Marco Guida di Torre Annunziata      Assistants: Stefani–Faverani  Fourth Official: Calvarese
20:45

A direct encounter for survival.  Old management was not working, but neither the new "American management" showing decisive changes for the comeback to the top of Roma.  Rama are not showing signs for improvement.  The worst scenario for the Roman gladiators will be to lose this game or draw.  Roma having only 1 point and in the 15th position.  AC Siena in the 16th position with 1 point too.

Good news for Roma is Jose Angel returning after a one game suspension.  Bad news is that goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg still injured after his crushing with Inter defender Lucio last week.  It will be goalkeeper Lobon to take the command now.

Here is the probable formation for AS ROMA (4-3-3):  1 Lobont,  29 N. Burdisso,  44 Kjaer, 3  Jose Angel, 19 Gago, 16 De Rossi, 15 Pjanic, 22 Borriello, 10 Totti, 14 Bojan

  Here is the probable formation for  AC SIENA (4-4-2): 1 Brkic,  2 Vitello, 13 Rossettini, 19 Terzi, 3 Del Grosso, 70 Mannini, 36 Bolzoni, 10 D'Agostino, 23 Brienza, 11 Calaiò, 9 Larrondo
