Napoli surviving the challenge in their debut in this 2011 - 2012 UEFA Champions League Group Stage.   Napoli taking the lead in the second half with forward Edinson Cavani only to be equalized by the ex Lazio player Aleksandar Kolarov in the 74th minute.

A historical  moment not only for the  Club making their debut in Champions League, but also for coach Walter Mazzarri.   "It's a very difficult group and statistically we're not the favorites, in fact we're the underdogs. But this doesn't matter to me,   I'm proud to take on this challenge and of the progress we've made," said Mazzarri.  Napoli back in Champions after 21 years...  the suspense.. the moment... history...  anxiety...  jump in Napoli bandwagon and let's support Napoli in this  adventure for Italian football!!!!!

Ex Lazio player and former Inter coach Roberto Mancini, now coach from Manchester City.   There is also another familiar face, ex Inter forward Mario Balotelli playing for Inter from 2007 to 2010 making 59 appearances and scoring 20 goals.  Ex Lazio player Aleksandar Kolarov playing for Lazio from 2007 to 2010 making 82 appearances and scoring 6 goals.

Here we go, finally with Napoli's goal!!!!!!  In the 69th minute with the whole action starting by midfielder Christian Maggio taking  the ball off Bary  running  like looking on who is available...  Edison Cavani then set and gets the ball delivering a right footed shot from the center and bammmmmmmmmm defeating Manchester City goalkeeper in the center!!!

Short moment of celebration for Napoli because Manchester City equalizes the score in the 74th minute from a direct free kick by Aleksandar Kolarov with a left footed shot.
