Defender Davide Santon joining Newcastle for 5-years and wants to get back to the Italian National team.

This is a transfer market that  cause me pain. Former Inter defender Davide Santon not finding space in the Serie A to be a consistent player and now joining Newcastle with a 5-year contract as of August 30, 2011.  Surely, if this is for the best, then, my best wishes for Santon.  One of Santon's objective is to be fit and make it again to the Italian National team.  Davide has made 7 appearances with the National team.

Santon   was playing in Cesena on loan as part of the  deal for the transfer of Japanese defender Yuto Nagatomo to Inter on January 31, 2011.  Santon played for Inter  from 2008 to January 2011 making 40 appearances.  

Italian Soccer Serie A wishes Davide Santon a successful season with Newcastle.
