Palermo offcial website U.S. Citta' di Palermo confirming the transfer market from three new players on Wednesday August 31, 2011. Right winger Edgar Anthony Alvarez from AS Bari with a two year contract, Atalanta midfielder Edgar Osvaldo Barreto with a four year contract and from Bologna FC with co-ownership midfielder Francesco Della Rocca signing a four year contract.
Francesco Della Rocca born on September 14, 1987 in Brindisi, Italy
Della Rocca has also played for Italy U-16, Italy U-19. adn Italy U-20.
Edgar Anthoy Alvarez born on January 9, 1980 in Puerto Cortes, Honduras
Alvarez also plays for Honduras National Football team. Alvarez up to September 1, 2011 making 49 appearances with Honduras since 2000 and scoring 4 goals.
Edgar Osvaldo Barreto born on July 15, 1984 in Asunción, Paraguay
Barreto also plays for Paraguay National Football team. Up to September 1, 2011, Barreto has made 58 appearances with Paraguay team and scoring 3 goals. Barreto has played for Paraguay in Copa América 2007, FIFA World Cup 2006, FIFA World Cup 2010, and Copa America 2011.

"L'U.S. Città di Palermo comunica di avere definito tre operazioni in entrata. Dall'A.S. Bari è stato rilevato a titolo definitivo Edgar Anthony Álvarez: per lui un contratto biennale. Si trasferisce in rosanero a titolo definitivo anche Edgar Osvaldo Barreto dall'Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio: contratto di quattro anni per il paraguaiano. Dal Bologna F.C. arriva invece in compartecipazione Francesco Della Rocca: il centrocampista ha firmato un contratto quinquennale."

Palermo Honduras midfielder Edgar Alvarez commented, "I hope to give an important contribution to this team. I am sure that with good performance we could convince everybody of the quality of this team. In the last years Palermo hava battled for great objectives. I am sure this year we could also have higher objectives."
Palermo Paraguayan midfielder Edgar Barreto said, "I will put my experience and ductility to the disposition. In teh last years I have played in all roles of the midfield and in many modules. I won't have problems to adapt to the ideas of the new coach."
Palermo midfielder Francesco Della Rocca said, "I am happy to arrive in an important club like Palermo. The responsibility does not scare me. I will give the maximum for this shirt. I hope to become an important player for Palermo."
