It's official. Forward Mauro Zarate transferring from Lazio to FC Internazionale (Inter) on the last day of transfer makert window Wednesday August 31, 2011. Zarate signed a 4-year contract until June 30, 2015 on loan with option to purchase. Zarate born in Argentina on March 18, 1987, played for Lazio from July 5, 2008 until end of 2010- 2011 Season making 103 appearances and scoring 25 goals. Italian Soccer Serie A wishes Mauro Zarate a successful season with his new club FC Internazionale. It looks now that Inter attack is "made in Argentina" as Zarate joined his fellow Argentinians forwards Diego Forlan and Diego Milito. Inter also having Argentinians Walter Samuel, Esteban Cambiasso, Javier Zanetti (Captain), and Ricardo Alvarez.

"Mauro Matias Zárate is officially a Nerazzurri player. The 24-year-old striker has just signed a contract tying him to the club until 30 June 2015, in the office of vice president Rinaldo Ghelfi. He joins on loan from S.S. Lazio with an option to purchase. After completing the paperwork, which was immediately sent to the Lega Serie A, and accompanied by technical director Marco Branca and his agent Giuseppe Bozzo, Zarate went to the Saras offices to meet president Massimo Moratti."

Mauro Zarate's first words as an Inter player after signing his contract, "I'm delighted to have joined this club and I can't wait to get stuck into training. Inter were my first choice. We worked hard to get here and now I have to show everyone what I'm worth. I'm at a great team. Lots of Argentinians here? Yes, and that's nice for me; I'll speak to them soon."
