AC Milan Coach Allegri:

"I have no overriding worries at this stage of the season or for this match. We are at the beginning of the football year and we are preparing for only our third game against a big team. What’s important about this event is that we can win a trophy and that it is a derby. We must be ready especially from a psychological point of view. Now we are trying to limit the effects of the jet lag and get used to the intense heat. It’s true that last season we beat Inter twice in the league, but last season is in the past. No match is won before playing it, especially a derby. This is the first trophy of the new season and I think both Inter and us will give our all to make it a great game. It is an important trophy we want to win and there is a risk it will go down to penalties. If so, I just hope we do better than we did in Munich. We will do all we can do on Saturday.

About whether Kaka is famous  MR X. Allegri commented, "Kaka is currently a Real Madrid player. Many 'Mr. X's' have been identified by the press for the club to sign, Kaka’s is the latest. The South American players in our squad that we have brought here are in good form and we wanted to bring them with us to allow the Chinese public to admire them. Here they are regarded as true idols."

AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta:

"This huge enthusiasm for us is down to the fact we are getting old, so we have a lot of fans because they have been able to watch us down through the years. I hope to keep on playing as long as I can and put back my retirement as far as possible. I see my future still in the world of football, although I don’t know exactly in which role right now. Last season the Milan defence did well, especially in the second half of the season. We conceded just 7 goals in the last 19 league matches, which is not an easy achievement. For the new season we have some world class defenders: Thiago Silva has remained, Philippe Mexes and Taye Taiwo have arrived. I think these players make our defensive line strong.”

AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato:

"It was a great experience to arrive to so many happy fans. It made a strong impression, but we know that to win over just as many new fans we have to play well. It will be different playing a derby here rather than in Milan, that’s why I think it could be an enjoyable match. I am under contract with Milan until 2014. I don’t know what will happen in three years but I am sure that I will stay here until the end of my contract."
