A new era starts for AS Roma with goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg and the direction of American owners with DiBenedetto group.  The giallorossi looking to improve their performance from last season ending in 6th place.   Stekelenburg transferring from Dutch Club Ajax FC where he played from 2002 to 2011 making 191 appearances. 

Italian Soccer Serie A  welcomes new AS Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenbug, 28 years old, born on September 22, 1982 in Haarlem, Netherlands.
