Lecce fans will be rejoicing with the transfer market from young ex AC Milan midfielder Rodney Strasser. Yep. AC Milan official website making the announcement on July 19 "AC Milan would like to communicate that Rodney Strasser has made a loan move to Lecce."   Lecce ended last  season in the 17th position with 41 points just 5 points away from being relegated to Serie B having Sampdoria with 36 points in the 18th position while Lecce "saved themselves" and remaining in Serie A.

Strasser who is only 21 years old was born on Sierra Leone on March 30, 1990 has also played for Sierra Leone National team. So, there you go, positive news for Lecce to develop a better midfield and not struggling this season until the end for "salvation."   Strasser joining now the strong "Uruguayan" Lecce midfield with Uruguay players Ruben Olivera, Carlos Grossmuller and even Captain Guillermo Giacomazzi.

Certainly, the acquisition from Rodney improves the speed in Lecce's midfield. Moreover, Strasser will have more playing time than he did with AC Milan as he had to fight for a "lineup place" among the top shots there being Gennaro Gattuso, Kevin Prince Boateng, Massimo Ambrosini, Mathieu Flamini, and so on.  Strasser making only 5 appearances with AC Milan from 2008-2011 and scoring one goal.

I strongly believe in Strasser's potential.  By the way, guys, Strasser made his European debut on November 23, 2010 in the UEFA Champions League match Auxerre 0 - 2 AC Milan replacing Gennaro Gattuso in the 92nd minute.  So, you can tell his addition to Lecce is a positive news for Lecce fans.

Here is the chance now for Stasser and mainly for Lecce coach to show Strasser's potential.    Strasser scoring his first goal in Italy Serie A with AC Milan on January 6, 2011 in the Serie A game Cagliari 0 - 1 AC Milan. at the San'tElia Stadium
