It's the last preview of the season. Yep, the 2010 -2011 Serie A season is over.  We already have a declared winner AC MILAN winning the Scudetto.  Three Serie A teams already relegated to Serie B despite their results in this last game: Sampdoria, Brescia, and AS Bari.   All games will be played on Sunday May 22.

It will be also an emotional closure for some coaches and players who will be playing the last game with their respective teams. Lecce coach De Canio  seems to  say good bye, the future of Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri still not sure, Juventus coach Gigi Del Neri also with the good bye tone with the news of Conte's arriving, Palermo coach Delio Rossi despite qualifying the team to the final of the Coppa Ittalia might see the end of his term.

Only 5 players playing the entire season, all games, all 90 minutes from 3,330 minutes.  All of them goalkeepers: Genoa goalkeeper Eduardo, Cesena goalkeeper Antonioli, Catania goalkeeper Mariano Andujar, Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis, and Lecce goalkeeper Rosatti.

The battle in this round will be for the 4th position to secure a post in the Champions League playoff  between Lazio and Udinese.   The Europa League  and the top scorer --most likely -- will be Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale with28 goals as Napoli forward Edinson Cavani  who had 26 goals is suspended.  Cavani was suspended for 3 games and reduced to 2 games, though, missing the match against Juventus. Third place is Inter forward Samuel Eto'o with 21 goals. Mathematically speaking... bottom line, it's almost granted that Di Natale will be to the top scorer.

In the Champions League zone, Inter and Napoli securing the Champions League spot for next season.  Inter with 73 points and Napoli with 63 points.  Udinese in the 4th with 65 points and Lazio with 63 still battling for the 4th position.

In the Europa League zone,  for the 5th and 6th position  the battle is between  AS Roma  (60), Lazio (63) and Juventus (57).

-  In the Relegation Area the three teams relegated to Serie B are Sampdoria with 36 points, Brescia with 31 points and AS Bari with 21 points.   All three playing their last games to say "see you later" Serie A".. playing for the honor  to leave  with dignity with the hop of qualifying again next season to be promoted. .

Top scorers are Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale with 28 goals followed by Napoli forward Edinson Cavani with 26 goals each.  .

This   will be a super match as you will certainly see "Juventus" fighting with all they  have.  Ironically, in the past it was Napoli who tremble  to face the once almighty Juventus, now, it is the opposite.  No doubt, Napoli  hare been superior this season and they "qualified directly to the Champions League" next season while Juventus waved and should cover their faces for the so  disappointed season and out of the big show.

Two days after the match with Napoli and Juventus will play against powerful shot and finalist of the Champions League "Manchester United" at Old Trafford.   What a tough test!!!!!!

Stats in favor of Juventus.  There have been 73 games Juventus -Napoli   including Serie A, Serie B, Coppa Italia and Coppa UEFA.

46 victories Juventus
20 draw
7 victories Napoli

136 goals Juventus
53 goals  Napoli

Last victory from Juventus  against Napoli was in Coppa Italia on January 13 2010 with goals by Diego and Alessandro Del Piero. Juventus 3 - 0 Napoli.

Last draw in Coppa Italia 0-0 on February 4, 1999

Last victory from Napoli was back on October 31, 2009 Juventus 2 - 3 Napoli.

Napoli have nothing to lose in this game, but to gain a prestigious victory if defeating Juventus at the Olimpico.  It's the last shot for agonizing Juventus to shape up and at least end the season with a home victory.

So much resentment between Napoli and the ex Napoli player forward Fabio Quagliarella coming out saying "he was discarded by the club not the other way around."

Fabio Quagliarella  9 11 Marek Hamsik
Alessandro Del Piero 8 6 Ezequiel Lavezzi

Top scorer for Juventus is forward Alessandro Matri while for Napoli is forward Edinson Cavani with 26 goals.  Cavani got a reduction  for his 3 game suspension, but will miss this game.   Imagine that on Week 19 Napoli defeated the Old lady with a smacking Hat-trick precisely by Edinson Cavani at the San Paolo Stadium on January 9 2011.  Napoli 3 - 0 Juventus.

Cavani taking the ball  home as tradition for  players scoring a hat-trick.
  Italy Serie A Week 19 on January 9 2011.  Napoli 3 - 0 Juventus.

Here is the probable formation from JUVENTUS (4-4-2): 1 Buffon, Sorensen, 15 Barzagli, 3 Chiellini,  Traore, Krasic, Marchisio, 4 Felipe Melo, Pepe, 32 Matri, 10 Del Piero

Although AC Milan are already Italy's Champions as winner of the 2010 - 2011 Scudetto,  AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri looks to close the season with a victory.   Milan going to Udine  for the 3 points, but Udinese  looking at least for the single "1 point" needed to secure the 4th position overtaking Lazio for the playoff spot in the Champions League next season.

Inter  remaining in second place and already securing their direct qualification to the Champions League next season.  Catania also celebrating their "salvation" in Serie A last week.  It's a game not risking  a thing..  Inter might even save their top shot players for next week to play the Final of the Coppa Italia against Palermo on Sunday May 29 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.

On Week 19, Inter defeated  Catania at the Angelo Massimino Stadium with two goals from midfielder Esteban Cambiasso. Catania 1 - 2 Inter  on January 9 2011.
