No more speculation on who would win the Scudetto.  Yep, it's over!  AC Milan are officially the winner of the 2010 - 2011 Scudetto after the draw with AS Roma at the Olimpico AS Roma 0 - 0 AC Milan.  Here is the Italian Serie A Week 36 Weekly Roundup  on Saturday May 7, Sunday May 8 and Monday May 9, 2011. Good news from Atalanta and Siena "mathematically" promoted to the Serie A.

 Games will be completed until Monday with Lazio vs Juventus. 

A major blow in Champions League zone.  Yep, Lazio went down from the 4th position to the 6th position conceding the post for the Champions League to Udinese.  Captain Antonio Di Natale smacking Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera with two goals to take the victory and become the sole leader as top scorer of the Serie A with 28 goals. 

Another blow Lecce defeating Napoli wasting their chance to shorten the gap with Inter for the 2nd position.  Now there will be the direct encounter with Inter next Sunday at the San Paolo Stadium where Napoli can win the game and shorten to 1 point to hope for Inter to draw or lose the last game to take back the second position.

Surprise is to see Sampdoria now in the relegation area after losing the "DERBY DELLA LANTERNA."  This is a negative season who were dueling in the beginning of the season in Champions League and Europa League... now with a speedy ticket to Serie B if not winning the next 2 games. Sampdoria are in the dreaded red zone holding the 18th position.

-  In the Relegation Area the two teams mathematically speaking relegated to Serie B are Brescia with 31 points and AS Bari with 21 points.   Sampdoria with 36 points have chances for salvation if winning the next 2 games and Lecce losing 1 game.... otherwise, if Lecce win their next 2 games, than, it is Sampdoria going to Serie B. wow!!!!!


  Top scorers are Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale with 28 goals followed by Napoli forward Edinson Cavani with 26 goals each. Last position for AS Bari relegated now to Serie B with only 21 points.

Palermo 2 - 1 AS Bari: Surprise surprise .... a cold shower at the Renzo Barbera Stadium in the 7th minute with AS Bari opening the score.  wow, yep an assist by Alessandro Gazzi where Palermo goalkeeper and the defense  not sharp enough to block Simone Bentivoglio who run fast to deliver the right footed shot defeating Palermo goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu in the bottom right corner.   Hum... Bari fans celebrating but not that enthusiastic....

Palermo waking up and  there is the goal in the 39th minute following a fast break while AS Bari defense failing to stop  Miccoli who gets the through ball by Mauricio Pinilla to deliver a left footed shot to blast  AS Bari goalkeeper Padelli in the center... now, it is an open game...  Palermo fans at the Barbera increasing their chants.
