This is the match to win or win for Cesena if they want to remain in Serie A.  However, it is also the match to win for Inter to continue with slim chances to win the Scudetto hoping for Bologna to defeat AC Milan.  There are 8 points difference between Milan (74) and Inter (66).  If Inter lose or draw in this game, than, AC Milan might  crown themselves as new Champions ---only if they defeat Bologna.

For Cesena, the motivation is survival.  If Cesena lose this game, they might go down to the relegation area in the 18th position  if Lecce defeat Chievo and Catania defeat Cagliari, and Sampdoria defeat Brescia.   Catania 37 points, Sampdoria 35 points, and Lecce 35 points.

In the First Round on Week 16, the victory was for Inter at the Meazza in a tight  game. Inter 3 - 2 Cesena on January 19, 2011.

Disadvantage for Inter is the suspension of their main  goalkeeper Julio Cesar.  It is now up to he second goalkeeper Castellazzi to step up for the challenge. Another key player missing for this game for a second degree strained muscle  in the left thigh is midfielder Dejan Stankovic.

Here is the disciplinary situation. One suspended player for CESENA: Colucci and 2 players with one yellow card away from suspension: Von Bergen and Benalouane. One suspended player for INTER: Julio Cesar and 7 players with one yellow card: Mariga, Andrea Ranocchia, Houssine Kharja, Javier Zanetti, Samuel Eto'o, Yuto Nagatomo, and Giampaolo Pazzini. It's also the  match of the ex Inter forward Luis Jimenez

Current stats in favor of Inter.  In the last 17 HOME games  CESENA with 6 win, 5 draw and lose 6 while INTER in the last 17 AWAY games have 7 win, 3 draw, and lose 7.

Bari  already  relegated to the Serie B have nothing to lose.  It means, Bari  winning, draw, or lose still will go to the Serie B.  Challenge is for Roma to win this away game and  hope for Fiorentina to defeat Udinese who are holding the 5th position.  A defeat for Roma with the combination of Juventus defeating Lazio might endanger Roma spot in the Europa League next season.  Juventus in the 7th position have 52 points. This is why  Roma cannot lose this game as there are only 3 more games with 9 available points.

Roma  in the transition of new owners still defining a clear vision for the  next season.  Players are backing Vincenzo Montella to continue as coach.

Palermo  already defeating AC Milan in an away game will look to repeat the script and defeat Parma in this away game.  Yet, Parma will rather secure their salvation and  they will go all forward.   Good news is that Palermo coach Delio Rossi is not suspended for this game even after he was  sent off last week in the game Palermo 2 - 1 Napoli.  Rossi  will direct this game.

Here is the disciplinary situation.  Two suspended players for PARMA: Angelo and Christian Zaccardo and two players with one yellow card away from suspension: Dzemaili and Paletta.  No Suspended player for PALERMO only five players with one yellow card: Cesare Bovo, Mattia Cassani, Armin Bacinovic, Abel Hernandez, and Salvatore Sirigu.

General stats in favor of Parma.  From the 20 games Parma vs Palermo the record shows:
7 victories Parma
8 draws
5 victories Palermo

Luigi Ferraris Stadium Sunday May 1 at 15:00
Referee: Rocchi Assistants: Cariolato and Calcagno  Fourth Official:  Pierpaoli

This is the match for survival.   A defeat will be chaotic for any of the team.  Sampdoria are risking to go to Serie B if losing.  IF Brescia lose the game, wow, most likely they will be in Serie B. Here is the thing if Lecce defeat Chievo, Lecce will have 38 points. Three games after this game and that will be 9 available points. Brescia with a defeat mathematically speaking will be relegated

Here is the disciplinary situation. Two suspended players from SAMPDORIA: Poli and Massimo Volta and four players with one yellow card away from suspension: Poli, Mannini, Dessena, and Reto Ziegler.  No suspended player for BRESCIA and 5 players with one yellow card:  Eder, Kone, Lanzafame, Arcari, and Caracciolo.
