This is it.   Preparation is over! It's Thursday March 24, 2011 last day training for the Italian National team and for Italy Head coach Cesare Prandelli  to "retouch" his final lineup.  And he did.  Prandelli confirming the module 4-3-1-2

On the Formation:   Prandelli emphasizing that Italy will be very offensive with some variation compared to his practice match game on Wednesaday in Coverciano.   The 4-3-1-2 formation is in with  the duo Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini  with Stefano Mauri supporting the duo.    We might see forward Giuseppe Rossi in the second half... 

ITALY (4-3-1-2):  Buffon, Cristian Maggio, Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Federico Balzaretti, Alberto Aquilani, Thiago Motta, Riccardo Montolivo,  Alberto Aquilani, Stefano Mauri, Giampaolo Pazzini, and Antonio Cassano

Some questioning Prandelli as to why Cassano-Pazzini instead of having Rossi-Pazzini since Rossi seems in better shape than Casano.  Well, let's see   whether Prandelli's option was right or not.  Anyway, in case of Cassano or Pazzini not delivering the shots in the first half, Prandelli can always  substitute any and bring Giuseppe Rossi, right?   Your take???

Alberto Aquilani, Thiago motta and Riccardo Montolivo will be in the midfield while for the defense on his new role -- I will say testing role - midfielder Christian Maggio a long Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Federico Balzaretti.

Wow, I am so curious to see how well Balzaretti do in this game as many wanting him in the Nazioanle.  So, come on Balzaretti, let's see what you have...

Prandelli  not putting all the pressure on Cassano, but  saying that  he expects   Cassano-Pazzini playing  as well as they did with Sampdoria.
One looking to  definitely score is Giampaolo Pazzini "I am living one of the most important moments of my career scoring important goals.  I hope to find the goal tomorrow and be decisive." 

About his  reunion with  his ex Sampdoria teammate Antonio Cassano, Pazzini said, " We played for 2 years, we know by memory and we had fun. We hope to repeat again tomorrow.

Looking to make their debut with teh Italian National team are Cagliari defender Davide Astori, Cesena midfielder Marco Parolo, and Juventus forward Alessandro Matri.
