Here is the weekly Roundup for the Italian Serie A Week 30 and we care celebrating  also the 150 years form the Unity of Italy. 

First, let me start by congratulating INTER for being the only Serie A team surviving in the Champions League qualifying to the quarterfinals after defeating Bayern Munich.  The race for the Scudetto from a two race now back to a THREE race among  AC Milan,  Inter and Napoli.  Brescia stopping Inter to take the full 3 points and  had a draw which means AC Milan with 62 points and Inter with 57 having now a 5 point difference.  Most are seeing only AC Milan - Inter as the contenders, but get this one, what?  Napoli  have only 1 point difference with Inter!!!!   Napoli "quietly" took advantage from the draw of AC Milan and Inter.  With the upcoming  MILAN DERBY next week, Napoli might take the second position in case of the  Derby ending with a draw.

AC MILAN  might lose the  first position if losing with Palermo and Inter defeating Lecce as the FACE TO FACE  Milan - Inter will be the next match.. and only 5 points difference

Apart from the  top three places with a clear lead, it is also clear the almost "good bye" from AS Bari from the Serie A.  Bari still in the 20th position with only 17 points while the 19th position Brescia have 26 points. .
 

Serie A leader on Week 29 is AC Milan with 62 points followed by Inter with 57 points, and Napoli with 56.  Last position is for AS Bari with 17 points. Top scorer is Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale with 24  goals followed by Napoli forward Edinson Cavani with 20 goals.

Lazio  fighting to keep their spot in the UEFA Europa League next season being in the 5th position. Lazio losing the Derby della Capitale will look to  restart from fresh by defeating Cesena.  However, this is not an easy game as usually small teams give a hard time to the big ones and Cesena need a victory  to avoid falling the relation zone.  If Lecce defeat Inter and Brescia have a draw with Juventus, then, Cesena  will go down.  On paper, things look better for Lazio as Inter are playing against Lecce.

A defeat for Lazio and a victory from AS Roma over Fiorentina will bring Lazio to the 6th position.  This scenario will be a double slap for Lazio as Roma their city rivals  won the Derby and now might even take the 5th position.

Palermo  will look to win their FOURTH  consecutive game against AC Milan at the Renzo Barbera Stadium.  Yep, you are reading right.  Palermo defeating "the most awarded Italian Club AC MILAN" 3 times in a row and you bet it will have a special meaning to get this  victory and complete the "POKER" Bingo!

The Roman gladiators  cannot afford to lose this game as their  remaining objective for a spot in the UEFA Europa League  next season might be  out.  Roma holding the 6th position and will loook to defeat Fiorentina and hope for Cesena to  defeat or darw with Lecce to take the 5th position from their rivals.

Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic also knowing  of "slight chances" to make it for the Europa League.  they will need to win today and at least 3 more games hoping for Roma to fall somewhere in the road.
